"Newt, you're up," Gally whispered giving Newt a leg up to the bottom of the wall.

"Come here," Thomas moved over to you and practically threw you up it.

"Damn, boy you been working you?"

He grinned, "No, I'm just built different."

You laughed trying not to be too loud before turning your attention to Newt. He was a little further on than you watching one of his hands that was shaking rapidly. He saw you coming over and put it in his pocket quickly.

"I saw that," you muttered to him raising an eyebrow, "You going to tell me what's up, or should I guess?"

He hissed at you to be quiet putting a hand over your mouth. You glanced down at his hand and saw the veins on his wrist were blackened and popping. His hand retreated back and he pulled his sleeve down.

"You have it?"

Your eye's widened as he nodded. A grave look coming over his normally bright eyes.

"Newt-" You breathed feeling a crashing in your stomach.

He cut you off suddenly stern, Thomas started to climb the wall behind you, "Not a word, Y/n. You promise?"

You glanced over at Gally and Thomas quietly bickering as they pulled themselves up. "I promise."

"Thank you, we'll talk about it later."

You kept your mouth shut as Thomas and Gally came over. "Up here." He led you over to the ladder and the climb began.

Your head went into autopilot as you jogged your mind repeating the words over and over again.

Newt had the Flare.

It confirmed in your head that if he and Winston could get infected then maybe not all of you were immune like you thought. Did Wicked know? Did they do it on purpose? Something you were determined to find out. You couldn't imagine how Newt was feeling but at least, now, he wouldn't have to go through it alone.

"There it is," Gally pointed to the dreaded Wicked building in front of you, "That's where they're keeping him."

"I hate it in there," you commented leaning your arms on the railing and shaking your head, "I hope he's alright."

"Is it really that bad in there?" Newt asked standing beside you.

You nodded, "Before I knew Minho was there I felt so isolated. They only get the immune kids out of their cells for tests. I can't image what's it's like to stay there for ages."

"Do you know how long you were in there?"

"I guess just over a week, but I really don't know."

Newt patted your shoulder as you both turned your attention to Gally who was looking through the telescope.

"Lawrence has been trying to find a way in for years. The place is crawling with soldiers.
Y/n, what else do you remember seeing in there."

You cast your mind back trying to remember as much as you could about the interior of the building.

"It's like a rabbit warren, white corridors that all look the same, security clearance to use the lift, there are stairs that go all the way from top to bottom. Cameras. Guards. I didn't see any guard dogs and there's a basement that leads to the train line."

"Sounds like a bloody fortress," Newt spoke eyeing the building.

"Yeah, I thought you said you had a way in?" Thomas asked trying poorly to keep the bitterness out of his voice.
