This is a dolores x female reader friends to lovers story..  this is fluff with some angst. This story will be told in first person then from other people. Hope you like it!

Y/n Martínez. 2nd most famous last name and family in the whole village. Mostly because one of their daughters got some magical gift from Abuela, all because her mom helped her with the kids after her husband died. That daughter was you and that mom was yours. When your mom helped THE Abuela Madrigal, Abuela told her that her first daughter would get a gift, one thing led to another and now here we are.  Your gift was song. You had the most beautifulest voice that anyone has ever heard. It practically turned you into a real life Snow White. It brought creatures of all kinds to you. This helped out you and Antonio. Since he could talk to animals, he would sometimes have you sing so that he could get the attention of animals. You loved the Madrigals, they loved you too! You were pretty much best friends with all of them! Well.. that's the problem, your BEST FRIENDS with all of them. There is one granddaughter of Abuela that caught your eye from the beginning of the friendship between you two. Dolores Madrigal. You thought she was the beautifulest woman you had ever seen. Of course nobody knew that. You weren't out to your family yet, only your brother and about 3 of the Madrigals knew. Mirabel, Bruno, and Camilo. Mostly because you told Camilo, he told Mirabel, and Mirabel told Bruno. Which was fine because you consented and they accepted you. Along with that and they haven't nor won't tell Dolores. Which is for the best, you couldn't ruin the friendship between you two. You guys have been best friends for years! So you have always kept quiet and will stay quiet for as long as you could.

You wake up to your alarm ringing. Slowly, you open your eyes too see sunlight peering through your bedroom window onto your face. You turn off your alarm and stretch with a yawn before sitting up keeping your legs under the blanket.

       *buzz buzz buzz*

You look over to your right and see Dolores FaceTiming you. So you answer. "Hey Dolores!" You say with a sleepy smile. "Hey y/n!" She says with a hum and smiles.  "I was wondering if you would like to come over, we are having a party anddddd we may or may not need a singer-?" She says trying to hide that she asked a question. "I don't know... you know how I am when singing with people watching." You say to her feeling nervous already. "Pretty please n/n!" She says pouting out her bottom lip trying to get you to agree. "Ughhh fine, you owe me!" You say with a laugh. "Of course! I'll make you food!" She says excited. "Andddd have Mirabel give me one of her massages, they feel good!" You say with a confident smile. She frowns a little before quickly going back to a smile. Sadly it lagged so you couldn't see she was disappointed. "Of course, if she is busy, I'll give you one. Deal?" She says with a small smirk. "Hm.. fine. I'll just have to find a dress." You say while getting up out of bed. "Mk! That's all I needed byeee!" She says then doing a high pitch hum before hanging up. You smile to yourself before sitting your phone on your bed. You go downstairs into the kitchen, suddenly you start smelling food. "Mami, what are you cooking?" You ask walking over to her watching her put the delicious smelling food into plates for you, her, and your brother. Your brother, Diego, is the oldest, you are the youngest.  You two got along super well and he always protected you of everyone, he was one of the people who know about your crush. He supported you but also was afraid your heart would get broken so he always watched over you if he was around when you were around Dolores. "Good morning cariño (sweetie), I fixed you and your brother arepas." She says with a smile. She kisses your cheek before handing you your plate. You carry it to the table and sit down. As soon as you sat down your brother comes down the stairs rubbing his eyes.

"Good morning mami, good morning sis." He says with a yawn. He walks over to mami and she gives him a kiss on the cheek before handing him the plate like she did to me. He sits down to the left side of me. We both start eating our arepas. "By the way mami, Dolores invited me to sing at their party today, is that ok?" You ask her still holding onto your fork that had a piece of arepas. "Well of course! Abuela already invited me and was asking for you to sing but looks like I don't have to ask." She says with a small laugh sitting down on the right side of you with her plate and starts eating her arepas. You blush a little and laugh. You try not to get nervous knowing everything you get nervous, your voice goes up octaves. It's very embarrassing and very noticeable. Then your brother puts down his fork and looks at you. "Are you sure you are comfortable with singing?" He asks sounding concerned. "Well I'm nervous but yeah I want to!" You say with a smile. "Dolores didn't force you did she?" He asks sounding skeptical and crossing his arms. "Hermano (brother), she would never force me to do anything I wouldn't be comfortable with." You say crossing your arms too. "Fine." He says with a sigh and finishes eating. You quickly take your last bite and put your plate in the sink. "Do you know what time the party is mami?" You ask her while standing in front of the staircase. "In about 2 hours cariño." Your mom says while she is still eating. "Ok! I'm going to see if Dolores will help me pick out what to wear!" You say to her and run upstairs to your room. You get into your phone and start texting her.

You quickly gather some things including the dress you plan on wearing and run down the stairs. "See you at the party mami! Love you!" You shout running too the door. "Love you too and be safe!" She shouts back washing dishes. You run out the door, shutting it behind you. Luckily you were neighbors with the Madrigals. So you ran the whole way there.
