Pepper With Fire
I trusted her food
The food a delicacy
A beautiful story
One that became a love mystery
I remembered calling it a myth
But that myth became my mysteryI bought all the ingredients
I trusted her cooking
Always had the best of meals
A fine chef
Set in the kitchen
Except when she chose not to
Today
It was pepper like fireThe aroma of sweetness
Sharp cheese
Spicy meats and greens
And rumors of pepper
Assaulted my nostrils.
Smelt sumptuous
But
The redness of pepper. FireShe,
The kitchen magician
Knew the ratio of each ingredient
Result,
Sumptuous meal
Except today
She peppered like fireToday she was set
Did what she did best
But Silently
Peppered and fired the meal
To hit at me
She decided and wasn't going backThe table set
The delicious delicacy
In separate pots
I served selfishly
The first bite burnt
Bitter taste
Harassed the tongue
She did it on purposePepper like fire
With fire
Bitter to taste
That price I paid.@kitt kevines
