Am lost in the ocean of my thoughts
My loneliness my enemy
As vast as the waters of the ocean
Running deep into the veins of my emotions.
Am left alone.
In solitude.

There exist no charm, magic or portion
That can work miracle on a lonely soul
Each attempt is doomed
And am left alone

We sat side by side
Each day in love
Or so I thought
Confessed the love that bound us
We looked forward to a future
Bright with kids
And a beautiful home.
Boom, she walk out
Left me alone.
In solitude.

I held on ,optimistic that things would patch up
That was the hardest I did
Holding on what's already gone
Letting go should have been my easiest
For there is no worth in hoarding a bone when the meat is consumed.
I must release it if am to be free of my aloneness.

I sit next to an empty seat
With memories that haunt
Dreams of promises left unfulfilled
Lost in thoughts like a shipwreck survivor
False Evidence Appearing Real (fear)
I waste away in fear of this emptiness.
In solitude.

If any wrong was done
I did it first.
Letting my heart consumed by the flames of your love
Flames that couldn't resist the wind that extinguished it.
Leaving me alone.
In solitude.

This seat I sit on
Next to an empty seat
What was my sin?
I thought life had punished me enough
But love kept punishing me more.
Left alone next to the ocean
