Kamara's pov:

"I'm back from fawwrin" I shouted as I walked into my parents house. I walked into the living room with 4 suitcases by my side.

They had no idea I was coming today I told them I was coming next month. I haven't been to Jamaica in 13 years. Though I do call my parents everyday. I haven't talked to Shane in 13 years, I still remember when he shouted at me to leave and not come back........

who name shane? u mean shaney?😂

KMT lets not talk about him. I'm finally back in Jamaica and its positive vibes only.

"KAMARA?" I heard my mother shout "A u dat?" She ran into the living room and hugged me while crying. "Yuh finally come back a yuh yaad, yuh get big ee" She started to jump around thanking the Lord for bringing me back.

One thing Jamaican parents go do a thank God.

She called for my father after stepping back.

"Wah ya draw out mi name suh ooman?" My father said walking into the living room. "MARA!??"

"Daddy, Suprise!" I shouted

"How u did seh a next month yah come, nearly mek mi ketch up heart attack" he said coming over to hug me.

After our whole session they asked questions as to why I'm here so early while giving me a plate of food.

"Mi come early because I wanted to surprise yall and mi a think fi move back out here." I said looking at them.

"Oh u find no place" daddy asked

"Nosah mi still a look but for now I'm going to stay here"

"Alright well it late suh we aguh sleep, goodnight" he said looking at my mother heading to their bedroom.

"Yes mi dear, goodnight" Mommy said following.

"Ohh well ok goodnight I guess."

I remembered where my room was the last time I was there so I made my way there with my suitcases. Ill unpack tomorrow.

The next morning

I woke up to my phone ringing. It was my online best friend Kerisha. She's Jamaican as well and lives here. I met her through Instagram 2 years ago and we've been best friends ever since. I haven't met her in real life yet because I haven't been in Jamaica since I left.

I answered the phone getting up rubbing and eyes and walked into the bathroom. I set the phone up on the sink counter while sitting on the toilet. "Kam"
I heard her say on the other end.

"Yes" I responded sleepily, still on the toilet.

"A wake u jus wake up? A after 12 now enuh" she laughs.

"Yes an u wake mi up. Memba seh a late flight mi have yesterday."

"Oh, mi cya wait fi meet u tomorrow enuh"She says

" Im so exited!" I replied

"Mi a see somebody and him a keep wah party a Mona saturday" she says. If anybody knows Keisha they know that she loves to party.

"Eeh? How mi neva know bout him" I ask

"Lol mi did aguh tell u soon man yuh wah come?" she laughs

"Hear u to, mi aguh think bout it" I said getting off the toilet to wash my hands and face.

"Ok. If yah guh mek mi know cause a only 2 days we have fi prepare, today a thursday." She asks

"Alright" I replied keeping it short while brushing my teeth.

"Mi aguh see if mummy and daddy wake up and make breakfast." I said drying my hands and walking back to my room

"Ok tell dem seh mi seh hi" she said

"Aii, wah u a do today" I said

"Mi a guh shopping and run some erands, wah u aguh do?" she said

"Mi aguh unpack and search online fi no house wah available" I said walking out my room to check if my parents are up.

"Alright then mi aguh leave out now suh mi can get some things done early. Love u" She said

"Ok bye love u" I said hanging up.

I walked to my parents bedroom and knocked 2 times but heard nothing so I went to the kitchen.

I walked into the kitchen and saw my mom sitting on a bar stool around the island on her phone. "Morning mummy" I said sitting beside her on a bar stool

"Morning baby u sleep good?" She asked looking at me.

"Ye mi sleep good. Kerri seh fi tell u and daddy hi, speaking of daddy where is he?" I asked

"Tell her hi and yuh fada gone a work." she said looking back on her phone.

"Ok u mek any breakfast?" I asked standing up.

"Yes it cover up ina the microwave." she said.

"Ok mi think mi aguh start look for houses today." I said walking to the microwave and taking the breakfast out.

At this point a brunch enuh

Lol frl.

"Yuh sure? Mi jus wah u safe worse how u just come back." she said concerned

"Ill be ok and safe mommy." I said looking back at her.

"Ok mi dear."

Its now 7:pm I've unpacked my bags, Ive been searching for houses for the past 3 hours and I still haven't found anything. I'm getting frustrated right now so I closed to laptop. I got up and searched for something to wear to bed. After, I made my way to the bathroom and did my night routine.

I've already ate dinner and my dad came home an hour ago.

I told my parents good night and then made my way back to my room. I plugged in my phone, got in bed, opened my laptop and watched movies until I fell asleep.
