22. Moving Day

A week 1/2 later
Kam's pov:

This is it. I'm finally moving. I'm standing in my apartment while the workers bark orders at each other. I'm navigating them to where they should place things.

I have Kerri on FaceTime since she couldn't be here at the moment. "Switch the camera mek mi see wah gwan." I turned the camera smiling.

"Wow Kam, I'm very proud of you"

"Thank you Kerri" I said

"Tomorrow, the electrician go come and set up the stove and stuff because mi nuh wah guh round dem plug deh."

Nuh trouble wah nuh trouble yuh

Right.

"Ohhh ok then, mi like how yah mek dem set up the living room" she says.

"Yes thank you" I paused. "I'll add some minor details later tho because I just shoved them in the closet when I got them from the store." I laughed

She laughed with me.

"Wait sir can u actually put the Tv on the little table..... I think its in one of these boxes." I said pointing.

He looked behind him and pointed at the coffee table in front of the couch. "U mean this?"

"No its a longer table than that. Pretty sure its in one of the boxes not sure which one tho" I said looking around.

"Ok ma'am no problem" I smiled at him and he returned it.

"Alright later Kam" I heard Kerri say.

"Ok love you"

"Love you too" and with that I hung up.

4 hours later and I'm back at home. I'm on the bed wrapped in a towel because I just got out the shower. I was browsing through Instagram when I got a call.

I answered. "Kam" I heard Shane's low voice.

"Hey" I said smiling

"U reach home from the apartment?"

"Yes" I answered

"U can come to my house?" He Asked

"Why what happened" I said racing off the bed to find clothes.

"Nothing, just want u fi come"

"Ok I'm coming"

He hummed and hung up.

I quickly changed into a sports bra then a hoodie over it along with a black short shorts.

I walked to my parents room. "Yall, I'm going to stay with Shane for a while"

My father shot up off the bed "No you're not"

"Yes she is" my mother rolled her eyes

"You've been hanging out with him a lot lately" She raised her eyebrows smirking.

I blushed "Not sure if I'm gonna stay overnight but if I do happen to I'll call"

"Y yuh cya stay a yuh yaad" my father groans.

I smiled "Love you"

"Love you too"

I pulled up to Shane's house. I got out of the car with my bag and knocked on the door.

He opened the door shirtless. I stood there looking at his chest...so defi-

"Yuh nah come in?" He says chuckling lightly

I looked up at his face and I hugging him.

He pecked my lips and I smiled. "Come" he says and I followed kicking off my slides.

He brought me up to his bedroom.

Tell mi seh anuh call him call mi fi come just suh him can guh sleep....

He took my bag and placed it on the bedside table. I raised my eyebrows at him. He shook his head and walked over to me, He lift my hoodie which left me in a sports bra and the shorts.

He looked at me for a while and I fiddled with my fingers. He held my hand and led me to the bed. He pulled me on him.

A couple minutes later I felt bored I raised my head to look at him. His eyes were closed. I played with his beard for a little while caressing his face.

I smiled and reached over for the remote. He frowned pulling me back. I laughed softly "Mi want the remote" I whispered

He hummed and I reached over grabbing the remote before returning to the position.

I played Wild n Out and relaxed.

I woke up and Shane wasn't in bed I checked the time and it was 6:50pm.

Shane's phone started ringing but I didn't want to answer so I called for him.

He came out of the bathroom and I pointed towards his phone. He grabbed it and answered.

I couldn't hear the other person speaking but by his facial expression it was not good.

I got up and walked over to him as he hung up the phone. "What happened" I asked. He didn't respond but held me close to him.
