An Old Poem

I have always wondered what you look like without those glasses.

have you had such pretty brown eyes?

I'm also wondering about the things you see in them

did Apollo, in all his sunlit glory brings you the

light that you needed once you wake up in the morning?

or did the smouldering sunlight hurts your eyes,

the way it stings when someone made
you cry?

oh, But I do imagine it,
the way your eyelids closed

when you're listening to the songs in your
headset, snug on your ears, lost in every lyrics.

how your nose buried deep on your mythology book while
riding the bus or,

watching the sunset descend
to let the moon

light the darkening sky?
have you ever wondered about
the people around you?

or are you
one of those passersby
lost in thought,
stuck in a labyrinth of sadness?

but I know, one day
you'll find the light that you seek
for so long,

and when that time comes
the world will no longer be
the blurred,

black and white
film playing before your bespectacled
eyes.

P. S. I wrote this poem almost three years ago for someone- let's say, special to me. But unlike this poem, our 'relationship' or 'mutual understanding' didn't lasts that long. Digging up an old poem (for me) is akin to opening an old wound, still, this poem is very close to my heart and it may not be as polished and well written as any other poems out there, I wanted to share it with you :>
