A Forlorn Love Affair

Life before you was easier, sure,

It was a catastrophic, unrelenting grief that i

shamelessly called life; but still it was easier.

Life before you was easier.

A paradise of carefully constructed, yet

antithetical delusions.

Like a pile of unread books stack in a corner.

Life before you

Was summertime in winter.

All blues and grays, hoary and dismal

Still the brief glare of the sun burns

me like August's sorrow.

Freely flowing,

It knows no bounds,

my heart is an ice crystal,

Beautiful yet fragile.

Life now, as it is, is more desolate than

The song of a dying bird; alone and

despondent in a sea of green arcadia under a cold, distant morose sky.

Life, now that it knows it cannot have you,

is far hellish than being condemned to hell itself.

Ah, you know that boy with a pair of dark eyes and an enigmatic smile? Yes, this was written for that stupid boy but anyways, anyways.

It has been a while since I wrote a poem, haha. I was so busy with school (university life sucks when you're an english girly stuck in a predominantly science course) and work AND my Jujutsu kaisen fanfiction 😜. Hopefully this Christmas break I can finally write more freely since time hasn't been on my side since last month. 🐇
