Central City Barry's apartment
Barry's alarm blared on his bedside table. Barry rolled over tapping the top of the alarm trying to shut it off, eventually he gave up just knocking it off the table. He rubbed his eyes as he woke up looking down at where the alarms had fell. Once Barry saw the time he started to panic he was late. He shot out of bed using his super speed to get ready. He got dressed, made himself a sandwich before zooming out the door and heading to work. Once he arrived he was greeted with a annoyed look from his lab partner.
"Sorry I was late....again, I over slept" Barry apologised. Julian looked at Barry noticing his untucked shirt and messy hair.
"I can see that" Julian said with an annoyed tone. He turned to his desk before pulling out a folder and tapping it on Barry's chest. "We have a case. Robbery, the thieves made of with a priceless relic worth four hundred thousand dollars" Julian stated reading out the details of the case to Barry. Barry looked at Julian confused.
"Why are we on this case we're csi?" Barry questioned. Julian picked up his jacket and briefcase full of supplies before he answered.
"Because it's an expensive relic and they want the best on it. Also two guards are dead so they thought two birds one stone" Julian answered before he started to head for the exit. Barry didn't ague grabbing his own supplies and heading off to the crime scene.Central City Iris & Kara's apartment
Kara woke up still in her Supergirl suit and an empty glass on her bedside table. The quilt was over the floor and she was using one pillow. She rolled out of bed still a little annoyed from the chase last night. She got a shower and changed into civilian clothes before she walked out into the living room. Kara saw a note on the side from Iris. She picked it up and started reading. 'Morning, had to go into work early. Hope your okay you seemed pretty frustrated last night. There's some food in the fridge if you want anything but I'll be back later. p.s Lois called she want to talk'. Kara sighed as she went to the fridge opening to find a vast amount of food. She made herself a breakfast of pancakes and waffles drowning them in maple syrup. Once she had finished her breakfast she left the apartment flying out of the balcony doors and heading to speak to Lois.
Central City Picture News
Iris walked into her workplace heading straight for her desk. As she sits down one of her colleagues walks over putting a newspaper on her desk.
"Front page" she said arrogantly. Iris looked at the newspaper reading the headline. 'All Hands On Deck' with a picture of Queen, King and Jack below it.
"How did you get this story Carrie?" Iris asked curiously looking back at Carrie.
"I had an eye witness" she laughed. "Wait weren't you there when this happened?" Carrie asked with a massive grin on her face. Iris nodded which caused Carrie to burst out laughing. "So you were there and I still beat you to the story. I can see it now Carrie Castle best journalist ever" she declared walking back to her own desk. Iris sighed as she looked back down at the newspaper. Iris had been struggling since she started at Central City Picture News not having a major story since she started. She knew she needed get a big story soon or her time a Picture News could be over before it's really begun. Iris picks up the paper looking closer at the picture taken. She looked at Jack's robotic eye. She knew it was quite high tech upon seeing it at the museum. Iris also realised that these guys must have had to been experienced due to their arrogance and fluidity of how they worked together. Iris turned on her computer and started to search for crimes where advance tech was used by a trio of crooks. What she found was multiple robberies around the Metropolis area. She looked for the first reported crime finding a bank robbery by a trio, where they managed to escape the police and Superman. Iris convinced this was a lead downloaded the info onto a memory stick before she head out of the office.Central City Museum
Barry and Julian arrived at the museum, crowds behind the police tape trying to see what had happened. They walked into the museum instantly seeing the two dead guards spalled out on the floor. They both had holes through their chest but not much blood. There was a smell of burning flesh coming from the wounds. Barry and Julian knelt down to have a better look noticing the burnt skin on the entrance to the wounds.
"It was a laser beam that killed them" Barry stated as Julian gave him a confused look.
"How could you possibly mow that?" Julian questioned.
"I read the news" Barry said as he started to get up. He walked around the room looking at the damage from the fight. He went over to where the relic had been looking to see if the trio had left anything behind. Unfortunately their was nothing. Barry then noticed the remnants of the card Supergirl had broke out of still stuck to the wall. He walked up examining it closer. The substance was solid yet mailable. He broke off a piece placing it into a bag to take back to his lab. He showed Julian what he had found before they both started to head back to the lab. As they got outside a bigger crowd had emerged and multiple reporters. One reporter started to shout out to Barry and Julian asking for comments on the case. Barry and Julian continued to walk past him as he shouted in their face.Metropolis Lois Lane's apartment
Lois stood in the hallway, bag full of shopping in one hand and her keys in the other. She tried to balance the bag on her knee as she tried to open the door. As she tried to tactic she put the keys in the door as she dropped the bag. Before the bag could hit the ground Kara sped in catching it in her hands.
"Thanks Kara" Lois said as she unlocked the door into her apartment. They walked in and Kara put the shopping on the side. As they walked in a woman came out of one of the rooms with a baby. "Thanks Lucy" Lois said as she went and picked up the baby. Kara and Lucy glared at each other.
"Lucy" Kara greeted.
"Kara" Lucy greeted in return. Lois put the baby in his high chair before turning to see the two woman glaring at each other.
"Ok Kara, Lucy. We're here to talk" Lois said trying to get the woman to sit down. They all sit down around the dining room table. Lois at the head of the table with baby Johnathan and Lucy next to here. Whereas Kara sat at the other end of the table, slouching in her seat. "So how have you been?" Lois asked Kara. Kara pouted before she replied with 'fine'. "Okay well we need to talk about Supergirl" Lois explained. Kara looked over at them with a frustrated look. "Me and many others have noticed that Supergirl has been getting more and more aggressive recently, and we wanted to know why" Lois explained.
"Does it need an explanation? Their criminals, they committed the crime, I've stopped the crime, as long as I don't kill them does it matter how I get the job done?" Kara retorted as she sat up in her chair.
"Well..." Lois went to reply before she was cut of by Lucy.
"You need to tone it down! People are becoming afraid and the army is close to being called in. And I hate to have to lock you up" Lucy stated in an authoritative tone. Kara snickered as she got up to leave.
"I'd like to see you try" Kara stated before she left the apartment. Lois looked over at Lucy.
"That could have gone better" Lois stated, Lucy nodding in agreement.
Kara walked down the hallway of the apartment complex when she got a text of Iris. 'Can you give me a LIFT to Metropolis to follow up on a lead pleaseeeeeeee 🥺'. Kara looked at the message with a smirk before flying back to Central City to get Iris.
