"(Y/N), I'm sorry about that."
You felt Camilo hold your hand as his thumb caress your palm trying to calm you down. He looked at you, apologizing for what had happened.
"If I didn't invite you, Abuela wouldn't have said those things." He added as he lower his head in embarrassment.
You shook your head. "It's not your fault Camilo. I just can't understand why your Abuela is like that." You said and he looked at you.
"She's just worried about the family, I know she can be mean but I know that she truly cares about us. She cared for this community too. I am apologizing on behalf of my Abuela. Someday she'll realize what she has said and done." He looks so guilty and you felt sad.
Why is he even apologizing? He didn't even do anything.
"That was a long speech there." You joked as you eased the tension.
Camilo chuckled. "Guess so."
He pat your head as he stare at you, his brown eyes shined as it made contact with yours. You never thought that a spark was even true until you made eye contact with Camilo, it felt magical.
You smiled and him and he smiled back. You felt giddy.
"Okay, am I missing something?" Mirabel asked and you two looked at her.
"What do you mean?" You ask and Mirabel made a face.
"I've been noticing that you and Camilo are close. Tell me, do you know each other since then? Because I can see the romantic tension between you two." She accused and you shook your head as you bring your hands up to deny.
"No! I just met him at Antonio's gift ceremony!" You answered in panic.
"Aren't you two a thing? Like you know." Mirabel said and you shook your head.
You look at Camilo and he wasn't even trying to deny it. He was just standing there calmly and he somehow look like he's agreeing with Mirabel.
He really is a flirt.
"What can I do? I do think (Y/N) is my soulmate. Don't you think so too, bonita?" Camilo asked and you rolled your eyes at him.
"Whatever, Camilo."
"Look!" Mirabel said suddenly as she pointed at the floor and you saw rats carrying the green pieces of the vision and running away.
She looked at you and you immediately got the message.
"Let's follow them." Mirabel said and you nodded.
You started to follow the rats when Camilo stopped you.
"I'm coming too, who knows where they are gonna lead you." He said but you shook your head.
"No need, Camilo. You should go check on your family, especially Tia Pepa. She was in a bad state when she left the table." You said and Mirabel agreed.
"But bonit-"
You placed a finger on his lips to shush him. "I'm gonna be fine, Camilo."
He stared at you for a long time before nodding slowly. "Fine, but do promise me you'll be safe."
You nodded. "I promise."
"Okay, that's enough love birds! We've got rats to follow." Mirabel but in and you nodded.
