Jaemin sat in his room waiting for his parents to tell him the letter came. The school said they will send a letter out, everyone was nervous to see if they failed or not. The male eventually got hungry so he went downstairs to grab a snack. "Something came in the mail for you nana." Taeil said drinking his tea while holding the envelope in the other hand. Jaemin immediately ran over to his father grabbing the piece of paper then ran back upstairs closing his door.
Jaemin looked at the envelope scared of what he got. He slowly opened the envelope then quickly closed it, he got off his bed leaving his room then running downstairs to his parents. "I wanna read this out loud with you guys." Doyoung nodded putting his phone down "Sure." Jaemin opened the envelope taking out the letter.
Dear Parents of Kim Jaemin,
Your child has gotten a 198 in total on his exam, he was 2 points away from 200. He is currently the student with the highest score of the seniors, meaning that he will be able to graduate.Sincerely, Seoul City Highschool.
Jaemin squealed in excitement hugging his parents. "Yay! I got the highest score." Taeil and Doyoung smiled at their kid with happiness "Congratulations, we're so proud of you." Doyoung said hugging his son.
Donghyuck read his letter in front of his brother Taeyong since he was scared of having a low score in front of his mom. "What did you get Hyuckie?" Taeyong asked playing in his brother's hair "I got a 189.. does that mean I'm not graduating?" Donghyuck said with a pout, Taeyong shook his head "Jaehyun had that same score and he still graduated." The younger boy looked at his brother with a sad expression "Yeah but how would mom react? You know she is strict with grades." Taeyong smiled "I'm sure she changed Hyuckie, don't doubt yourself. Once you tell her I know she will be happy about it." Donghyuck smiled, hugging his older brother "Thanks Yongie."
Mark looked at the letter with a confused expression, he looked at his father who also looked confused "So.. I got a 190?" His dad nodded "It's better than Johnny's, when he got the letter he got an 167. Your mom was surely upset with him." Mark let out a laugh "I remember that! he was grounded for a week until he had to take the exam again." The father nodded ruffling his son's hair "But I'm proud of you Minhyung, maybe you can go brag about your score to Johnny."
Renjun stared at the piece of paper. "Wow I got 195, so exciting." He said sarcastically. Mrs. Huang looked at her son confused "Aren't you happy Renjun? You got a good score on the exams." He shrugged "It's just a score to me.. nothing huge about it." He got up from the couch going upstairs to his room. Hendery looked at his mom with an awkward smile "At least he got a good score?" His mother rolled her eyes going back to the kitchen.
Yangyang awkwardly looked at his parents with a smile "You know dad, 195 isn't bad at all. I'm just five points away from 200." Mr. Liu sighed rubbing his temple "I wanted you to get a 200 Yangyang, you could've studied harder." Yangyang looked at his father with a blank expression "Be happy I'm still graduating." Yangyang father waved him off having Yangyang leave his office.
Chenle nervously opened the envelope in front of his parents. He felt their cold gaze burning through the paper. "Uh maybe I shouldn't open this." Mr. Zhong grabbed the envelope taking out the letter. He read the letter slowly with a disappointed look "Chenle why did you get a 197? I thought you was studying hard enough to get a 200." Chenle looked down at the ground avoiding eye contact with his parents "I was studying.. I did my best too." His mother sighed pointing at the bedroom door "Leave our room Chenle, we will talk about this later." The young Chinese boy nodded, leaving his parents room.
Winter and Johnny looked at the letter that was on the table. "So who's gonna tell dad?" Winter asked crossing her arms, Johnny shrugged "That's your score not mine. I'm just the teacher who married your father." Winter huffed "We will just have to do rock, paper, scissors." Johnny nodded about to play the game until Ten appeared in the kitchen grabbing the piece of paper "I like your score Winter, It's way better than Johnny's back in high school." Winter smiled hugging her dad "Thanks, trying to study while dad is yelling at the game was hard. But I got a good score." Johnny glared at his husband "I put good effort into my exam." Ten smiled while laughing "Yeah 167 is such a good result after putting effort into the exam." Johnny frowned "I know.. but we're proud of you Winter for getting an 197." Winter smiled at her parents hugging them both "Thank you!"
Jeno didn't bother to open his letter since he didn't really care of what score he got. He was too busy playing the game distracting himself away from everybody including his girlfriend "I'll just check the score later, it's just a piece of paper." Jeno eventually read the letter finding out he got an 194. "You could've done better." He mocked his father "I told you to study harder." He said to himself, he threw the piece of paper in the trash going back to his room to continue to play the game.
