Chapter 4
Letters From LosersAfter one week.
"(Y/N), here's a copy of our lecture last week. I'm relieved you recovered fast. That fever was the longest you ever had." Fawn gave me her notebook.
"Thanks, Fawn." I mumbled and put it inside my bag. I was moving lifelessly these past few days. My Mom also noticed that I've been looking so pale and feeling weak these days. She was getting worried but I think it's just the aftermath of having a fever.
"Are you sure you're okay? You're not so lively these days." Meiya asked, munching on her fries.
I nodded my head and took the pack of fries she offered me. "I'm okay. I'm always like this after having a fever." I replied, showing them a slight smile.
"Psst." Fawn looked at me. I frowned at her in confusion. "You do know that Minho's been staring at you since an hour ago, right?"
"H-huh?" I tilted my head in confusion. She pointed at someone behind me but I quickly glared at her, signaling her to not continue what she was doing.
She rolled her eyes and lean her back on the chair. I just continued eating my lunch since I'm feeling weak these days. I can't even focus on the lessons. Plus, I need to catch up because I've been absent in class for seven days.
Ugh. Fever is the worst.
After a few minutes, someone stood beside our lunch table. I slowly glance towards the person and quickly looked away to ignore him. Minho put something on the table which seemed like my missing pen.
He slightly pushed it for it to roll towards my hand. I ignored it and continued eating while scrolling on my social media account news feed until he walked out, heading straight out the canteen.
After a while, both Fawn and Meiya leaned in, asking me several questions. "What was that?!" They both asked me in unison.
I shook my head and swallowed my food before answering. "I hate him so much." I groaned and grabbed the pen.
"I hate you so much but I still like you at the same time. It's not that I'm craving for your attention. I just want you to be nicer when you talk to me. Thank you for giving back my pen I really need it.
Ps. I didn't tell anything to someone what happened that night."
After reading the note that I wrote to a piece of paper, I hurriedly looked for Minho to give it to him. But I remember him telling me to not approach him at school. So, when I saw Felix walking around, I approached him and told him to give it to Minho.
