You couldn't really realize what you just heard.
A revival book? Dream had a revival book? A book that could revive people?
No, Purpled couldn't be serious about that. You would've known if Dream had a 'revival' book. You would've heard about it.
But he didn't sound like he was joking. He sounded real serious.
"Wait, so what you're saying is.. You think Quackity only visits Dream for the revival book?", Sam asked, raising his eyebrow which caused Purpled to nod. "That's exactly what I'm saying. Why else would he visit Dream? To say hello? Definitely not. Quackity's a greedy asshole. I'm 100% sure he has a plan for all of this."
You didn't even need to continue listening to understand what Purpled meant.
Apparently, Dream had a revival book and Quackity wanted it. That was why he visited him. That was why he was gone for a whole day without anyone knowing.
He was trying to get the revival book... But why? If Dream really had this book, who would Quackity want to bring back?
You didn't know the answer to that question. The only thing you knew was that now a lot of things made sense after you listened to Purpled and Sam's conversation. And that you needed to talk to Quackity. Even if he didn't want to see you nor did you really want to see him, but you had to if you wanted to get some clarity.
Without wasting another second, you stood up from the table, put some leftover pennies you had on the table and left the restaurant. As soon as you found yourself back on the main 'street', you looked around, thinking about where Quackity might've been.
"Probably the needle like always", you thought and stepped towards it.
Once you stood in front of the familiar building, you looked up, taking a deep breath.
You really didn't want to see him after your conversation yesterday, but you needed to. If Purpled really told the truth about the revival book, you needed to know what Quackity wanted to do with it.
So, no matter how much you hated that guy for being such an asshole, you needed answers.
Just as you decided to enter the big building in front of you, you heard a familiar voice to your surprise.
"Wait.. Is that you, Y/n?", the voice asked, causing you to turn around and look at them. No one else but Fundy, an old friend you knew from the past stood in front of you.Jesus, it had been ages since you've seen the fox.
There has been a time where you two were really close. He even considered you as his second mother at some time back then.
But wow. You really didn't expect to meet him there.
He looked different than you had him in your memories. He looked older. More mature. And he was wearing different clothes. Similar to the ones Foolish, Slime and Quackity were wearing, but they made him look good. Very good actually.
Seeing him like this made you smile.
"Yes.. I guess it's me! God, Fundy! It's been ages! It's so good to see you! How are you doing?", you said still with your smile as you slowly approached and wrapped your arms around his body to give him a hug. You felt his arms wrap around your body and hugging you back. "It's so good to see *you*, Y/n!", he replied, breaking apart from the hug and looking at you with his black orbs. "I'm doing good! What about you? I can't believe that you're here! In Las Nevadas! I mean, so many people are coming and going over night, but I didn't expect to meet you here! What are you doing? Don't tell me you're here for the gambling?"
