Quackity was an idiot. He knew exactly that everything you two were doing definitely wasn't anything friends would do. He sure knew that, but he still said it to tease you. He knew you'd think about it and disagree.

However. Him calling you his friend gave you some kind of contentment. The thought of you two doing the things friends would do, made you happy somehow, though at the same time you felt a tiny little part of yourself longing for something more. Longing for something that stepped over the limits of friendship.

You couldn't figure out what it was or what it was going to become, but whatever it was, it felt good. And you hadn't felt that in a very long time.

"Oh yeah, of course! I am your 'friend'", you said with a smug smile on your face, causing the young man to giggle. "We both know that I'm anything but that."

He giggled again, slightly closing his eyes and then looking down at his hands. "Unfortunately, but you can be. You can even be more."

More.

What was that supposed to mean?

"You're already more than that, Y/n".

Wilbur Soot was standing on top of the presidential podium, looking at the streets of the nation you founded. The sun already started to set and slowly got dipped in by the still shy but awaiting darkness. You stood right next to him, exhausted from the day you lived through.

The election wouldn't be an easy thing, you knew that, but it still drained you. Especially dealing with all these people that wanted to participate.

You were glad Tommy and Wilbur just decided to have their own party with you since you three basically were the founders of this country and therewith the original leaders, but Wilbur didn't find it very fair to just decide over everybody's head who the leader would be.

So, arranging an election and letting the folk decide would probably be the fairest.

Although, right now the election wasn't the topic of your worries. Much more your relationship with Wilbur. You two had grown closely and a few things happened between you that you didn't think would happen. You never even expected yourself to do such things, but you just couldn't handle them. Feelings you had never been conscious of were rushing through your body and you couldn't help yourself but feel absolute happiness whether you were around the British man.

No doubt, you were in love.

"I am?", you asked uncertain if he honestly meant it or not. You couldn't tell. You couldn't see his eyes. They were focusing the setting sun and didn't leave it slowly going down. A small grin just appeared on his face. "What question is that? Y/n", Wilbur said, turning to the side to finally face you as he threw his eyes to you. He slowly reached for your hands, took them into his and squeezed them gently while his brown eyes stared into yours. "You've always been more than a friend. Even before...that. I just... hahahaha, this is stupid", he chuckled to himself, shaking his head which caused you to shake your head. "No, it's not, Will. I know what you mean. I feels like...doing these kind of things are... accustomed?", you said, smiling goofy after the last word left your lips, not so sure if that was the word you were looking for, but the man in front of you giggled. "Exactly! All of this doesn't even feel like something new. Being here with you and Tommy and all of the others just feels like it was meant to be! Like this was meant to be!", Wilbur smiled happily, squeezing your hands even tighter now and sounding really dramatic saying that.

"Meant to be?", you raised your eyebrow in question, but laughed soon after that.

You didn't want to disagree. All of this felt right. Like you were supposed to be doing this.
