Chapter 17

*Shaylas POV*
"so are you excited to go to school tomorrow?" I asked nash while we were driving
.
"I'm not sure" he laughed "I'm scared of girls. they'll end up attacking me"
"I'll protect you. I'll make sure not too many girls do but if one does don't blame me, I tried" I giggled.
"your so cute when you get all protective" he smiled. I looked over at him and admired him. he looked at me "what?" he laughed.
"your so freaking adorable grier!" I admitted.
"and so are you shay." he told me "I don't even know your last name." he said annoyed.
"it's Davis" I told him.
"shayla Davis" he kept repeating.
"you done yet?" I laughed.
we were finally in Hollywood driving down the blvd. we finally found a parking spot and payed for 4 hours.
"what are we gonna do?" I asked him.
"walk around. check out places" he said
"k, well you NEEDA be careful. your most likely to get attacked." we started walking down Hollywood Blvd and checked out the stars on the ground. nash seemed pretty excited. so far we haven't gotten attacked but he took some photos with some fans and got to know some. he would introduce them to me. they didn't like me but that's alright. we walked through the mall and huge candy store. it's about 7:40 now and the Suns starting to set. "shayla?" he looked over at me while we were sitting in an ice cream shop. "wanna go back home?" he asked
"yeah I'm ready." we made our way back to the car and the blvd was lit up with different lights and the atmosphere was fun. we got into the car and started driving back.
*Nashs POV*
I was planning on stopping by the store before we got back. I saw a target sign and pulled in.
"wait what are we doing?" Shayla asked
"we're grabbing a couple things." I told her
"but we already have food at home" she told me
"we're not here for food."
we parked in the parking lot and got out. we walked into target and walked around. we grabbed some pool toys and I bought some swim trunks cause I didn't have any. we went to the movie section.
"what do you want to watch?" I asked her
"uhm.." she giggled, "have you ever seen the fault in our stars?"
"oh god." I sighed with disappointment, "white girls!"
"what??? we don't have to buy it" she said
"nah. actually I kinda wanna see it. I've never seen it." I told her
"seriously? how?" she asked
"I don't hang with girls." I confessed
"well now you are, and now you have to do girly things." she said. she grabbed the blue ray version of the fault in our stars and we made our way to the cashier.
"what do you like from starbucks?" I asked her.
"why?" she asked
"just wondering." I told her
"I like a Very Berry Hibiscus , light ice , venti"
we got up to the cashier and I bought our stuff and left target. we got into the car and I decided we should stop by starbucks.
"where's the nearest starbucks?" I asked
"nash, I'm not letting you buy me starbucks. besides you've already done enough." she said
I wasn't gonna listen to her.
"fine" I said. but I still drive around finding one then I finally found one and pulled into the drive thru.
"really nash?" she laughed
"sorry. but I'm in the mood for it and I wanna be nice" I said
*Shaylas POV*
nash was so sweet. almost TOO sweet. but he helped. he makes me happy , and makes me forget all my worries. we finally got to my house and went inside. I was half done with my starbucks and I'm pretty sure we were gonna go night swimming. I started going up stairs.
"are you putting on your bathing suit?" nash asked from down stairs
"yeah" I called back. I went into my room and put my hair in a pony tail real quick so when I put on my bathing suit my long ass hair wouldn't get caught. I ygrabbed my pink Triangl bikini and slipped it on. by the time I went down stairs nash had his swim trunks on. holy SHIT he was shirtless !
"woah" he said as I came down stairs and let my hair down and flipped it to one side. I smiled a cutesy smile and held up a piece sign.
"not lookin too bad yourself grier!" I said winking at him. we went into the back yard and it was like 9:00pm now and I walked over to the outside closet connected to the house and grabbed 2 towels and turned on the pool lights and waterfall.
"here." I hanned nash a towel and he set it on a chair. it's about 80°F outside and the pools not a heated pool but it's warm from the past couple weeks. I walked around feeling the water with my foot.
"ready?" I asked nash. then I felt a mosquito land on me and I turned my head towards my head and smacked it. I heard nash run up to me and he grabbed my waist as I tryed to kick away from him but I was smart enough to grab ahold of his arms and pull him in with me and he tryed to throw me in. I fell under water in the deep end. nash was still out of water. I failed to pull him in. I swam above water
"YOU ASS!!" I yelled/laughed.
"CANON BALL!!" he screamed and jumped in. he swam up and grabbed me by the waist. my hair was a soaked curly mess. we were both in now. his face was like 3 inches from mine.
"your so god damn beautiful ,shayla" he whispered. I smiled and he spun me around in the pool.
"wanna coke or anything?" I asked swimming away.
"sure. I opened the outside fridge and grabbed two cokes. I threw one to him while he was in the pool.
"thanks" he said.
I took a sip then jumped back in. nash got out to out his coke on the table. tonight was gonna be great.
"can we not stay up too late so we can wake up tomorrow?" I asked him.
"of course." he said. we swam a little more and did contests with each other then dried off and hung out outside for like 10 minutes and dried off .
