Chapter 3

all I could think about during 1st period was Blake. it was so hard to focus. I kept looking at him. I couldn't help it. I was just so worried about how the rest of my day would go. if people would ask me what happened or if I'm okay or call me a bitch and blame me. I didn't care. I hate drama I just don't wanna start a bunch of shit. I just ignore people trying to start stuff. the bell rings to go to second period. I grab my bag and put my math book into my bag and take Rebecca's pencil cause I really didn't have one. I pick up my bag and head towards the door. Blake heads over to his friend Dave and tells him about him breaking up with me. oh great! here we go with all the drama.

5 people already said something to me about our break up by lunch. it's now 12:06pm. I found Marissa.
"hey" I said to her
"hey shay" she replied
"did you hear?"
"Yep. it's now the talk of the day. next thing you know it's gonna be on the school website." she laughs.
"probably. 5 people already asked me. imagine how he's doing."
"yeah. do you think he's happy or upset?" she asks.
I look to my left and see him laughing with some girl. I don't see her face very well.
"he looks pretty happy to me." I say while staring at him. Marissa looks over to where I was looking and I look away quickly just incase he looks over.
"I'm sorry." she hugs me. I hug back. it's so easy for guys to get over girl. it takes so much for a girl to get over a guy. it's practically impossible. we started walking towards the cafeteria. I saw the girls face better. it was sarah my old friend. we got into a fight in 8th grade and a bunch of shit happened. me and Marissa walked into the cafeteria and got inline for lunch. We saw Jaylen with her friend shelby in line so we cut behind them. I got my salad and we all sat down at a table inside.
"so he broke up with you?" Jaylen asked me.
"yeah.." I said quietly.
"he told me." she said. I took a bite and chewed it. and sat there silent thinking.
"do you think there's another girl?" I asked jay.
"I don't know. there might be. I've never heard him on the phone with some other girl. he might've been texting them tho. they could be seeing each other." she responded
"rissa? do you think its sarah?" I asked her.
"maybe."
I finished my salad and left them. I walked outside and walked up to Blake.
"can I talk to you real quick?" I pulled him away from sarah. they were flirting and shit that he used to do with me.
"is it Sarah?" I asked him
"what?"
"is that who your replacing me with? is that why we're not together anymore" I asked him
"it doesn't matter. it's none of your buissness." he said
"actually it is. your my ex and I wanna know if there was someone else." by then I was sorta yelling and people were starting to stare. I set my backpack down. I know I said I didnt like starting shit but this is honestly funny.
"shayla. can we not do this here." he said
"OH AM I EMBARRASSING YOU?" I yelled as he started walking away just to make it better. people were laughing. I rolled my eyes as him and Sarah walked toward the halls.
I grabbed my bag off the ground and walked back to the cafeteria and went back to our table.
"where'd you go?" shelby asked.
"just did what I needed to" I told her.
