Chapter 2

i woke up at 4:56 to the neighbors dogs barking. I couldn't go back to sleep besides my alarm was gonna go off at 5:30 anyway. I stayed under my blankets till 5:20 cause it was cold. I unlocked my phone and opened up the Twitter app. scrolled through the feed on the main page. I favorited some tweets that I found funny.

*5:25 am*
alright, I better get up, i wanna look decent. I got outta bed and walked to my bathroom. I started the shower and put it on hot with a touch of cool. I stripped off my clothes and got into the warm liquid heaven.

I got outta my shower and grabbed a towel from the cabinet under the sink. wrapped my self and brushed out my hair. I dried off the rest of my body and walked into my closet. put on my bra and undies and grabbed a random shirt so I can do my hair and make up. I put on some sweats. I leave for school around 7 and it starts at 7:30 it's a 10 minute drive. its 6:00 right now. I walked back into my bath room and grabbed my blow dryer and plugged it in. I flipped my hair up side down and turned the blow dryer on high. I ran my fingers through my hair as I dried it. when I was done my hair had a light wave look. i unplugged the blow dryer and stuck it back in the drawer. I grabbed my make up bag and opened it. I pulled out my concealer, mascara and blush. I started with the concealer. then some blush and mascara on top and bottom lashes. I walked back to my closet and went to my shirts. I grabbed a plain dark red tshirt. I went to my section with cardigans and grabbed a white one. I picked out my dark blue, ripped, boot cut jeans. and my white converse. i put on all my clothes. I walked over to the basket in my closet labeled socks. I grabbed a pair and slipped them on and put on my converse and tied them. I grabbed my black JanSport backpack and walked out the door and down stairs. I looked in the mirror in the hallway to see how I looked. beautiful, confident, proud❤️ [a/n (authors note) GOALS!!😍👏👏] . it's now 6:45 I walked into the kitchen and got a glass of orange juice and poured my self some captain crunch with milk. I took my bowl over to the bar and sat down and ate. I finished my cereal and washed out my bowl. then my mom came down stairs.
"you ready?" she asked me.
"Yep."
I didn't want today to happen at all. I'm scared of him breaking up with me. I just don't wanna see Blake. i ran to the bathroom down stairs and brushed my teeth.
"okay mom I'm ready!" I told her
"okay. I'll be in the car when your ready."
I went pee before I left the house then I went to the car. dad was still home, sleeping. it was now 7:03am and we started making our way to school.

I got to school and I saw Jaylen. I ran over to her.
"hey." she said.
"hey. so what was up with Blake?" I asked
"I don't know. I just heard him in the phone last night saying you guys broke up."
"yeah, he wouldn't answer his phone last night. he kept declining my calls"
"aw I'm sorry baby." Jaylen told me. she gave me a tight hug for like 30 seconds. I started tearing up.
"oh.. shay! don't cry. it'll be alright okay? it's gonna be okay! you have me and marissa. we'll always be here for you!"
"thanks jay. I love you."
"I love you too" she replied and gave me a quick hug. the bell rang and it was time for first period. we walked from the front of the school and went into the school. I had to go to hall F and she had to go to hall J. we said goodbye and started our day.
oh boy! here we go. 1st period I had with Blake and we sit next to each other. I walked into class and took my seat. thank god he wasn't there yet. I hope he doesn't come to school at all.
just my luck, he walks through the door and walks over to his seat. I turn my back and talk to Rebecca , the girl that sits on my right.
"hey can I borrow a pencil?" I asked her. I just didn't wanna face Blake. she dug through her bag to pull out a purple mechanical pencil.
"here you go." she handed it to me.
"thanks" I turned back towards the front and glanced at Blake real quick.
"hey, I'm sorry about last night" he said.
"what do you mean?" I asked
"I didn't answer your calls"
"yeah, I know. your sister told me that you told cameron that we weren't together anymore."
"Yeah.. I'm sorry. about that uhm-"
I knew what he was about to do so I just cut him off.
"save you breath. I know. your gonna leave me. I don't know why or what I did but I get it."
"listen, shay. I love you but I just don't feel it anymore. we don't have the same spark, it's just not the same." the bell rang as I sat there broken but satisfied that I didn't have to hear the words "I'm breaking up with you" come out of his mouth.
