"Oh c'mon! Why don't you want to party tonight? It's a Saturday night, and it's your birthday!", Summer shouted at me.
"Sum, I'm tired, that's why".
"Don't give up Summer, it's still 11 in the morning, we can convince her", Natalie encouraged her.
"We will convince you. Either that, or we'll call Cameron and tell him you don't want to go out tonight. He'll be furious and will come and pick you up", Abbey added.
As you can see, we're still friends. The four of us. Not much has changed in our lives. Summer and Natalie are still with their boyfriends. Abbey was not that lucky in that sense, she broke up with Adam six or seven months ago, something that had gotten us two much closer than we were before. Cameron and I finished our degree in Fashion before this summer started. On our last semester in Westminster, he told me he didn't want to work as a designer, that he wanted to focus on the business part. My grandma offered him an internship at the shop in our town during the summer, while I was getting ready to open a shop of the family brand here in London. And well, designing the clothes. A few weeks before it was opened, my grandma asked me if I wanted Cameron to be my assistant. I was so excited about that, and he gladly accepted. Guess I'm one of those lucky girls who get to work with one of their best friends.
"So, if we convince you, where would you like to go?", Summer asked.
"I don't care", I answered, as we heard the doorbell ringing.
"Are you waiting for someone?", Abbey asked, heading to the front door.
"Nope", I said, seeing her talking to the the post man. Guess I have a package. I hope it's the new clothes my grandma was sending me this week.
"Hey Lex", Abbey said, closing the door and walking towards me.
"What's that?"
"Birthday package", she said, as we all turned silent.
"Leave it in my bedroom".
"Aren't you gonna open it?"
"No. Not yet, at least".
"Lex, why don't you see who's from?"
"Summer, I know who the package is from", I told her, watching how she walked to Abbey and took the parcel in her hands.
"C'mon, it can't be from him. It's been almost four years", she said, looking for the sender's name. When she found it, she gave the box back to Abbey and sat down on the couch.
"Told you. Same envelope as last year", I said, without keeping my eyes off the telly.
Harry's POV
"Hey Haz, what's up?", Niall asked me, as I came into Liam's apartment.
"Not much".
"What's wrong? You look...not happy at all".
"Niall, shut up", Louis told him.
"It's okay Louis", I said.
"What? Why should I shut up?"
"C'mon mate, don't you know what day it's today?", he asked, and Niall frowned at his question.
"Erm... yes I do... 28th Decemb.. Oh... Oh. I get it now. I'm sorry Harry, I should've known".
"It's okay mate, don't worry".
"Have you sent her something this year?"
"Yes".
"Don't you think you should stop? She hasn't contacted you in four years, and hasn't even replied to any of your presents, or anything".
"I know. But I feel like I owe her one. And I'm not stopping til she's ready to talk to me".
