I HAVE NEVER BEEN AT SCHOOL LATE AT NIGHT.

FOR ANYTHING ELSE OTHER THAN EXTRA-CIRCULARS.

But I guess trying to save heroes and villains from another multiverse is an exception.

It was honestly so strange to see the darkened corridors and classrooms, it was a different atmosphere from the usual school days. Peter broke into one of the science classrooms to get his experiment going.

"Breaking into a school classroom during our senior year?" Ned mentioned, "So badass."

I nodded, "Yeah, badass."

Peter (Suit) started working on the serum for Dr. Connors, while Peter (regular clothes) worked on Dr. Osborn's. Peter (Ed) helped out Peter for Max's and serum so I headed over to them.

"Hey," I replied, taking a seat next to Peter, he looked up and smiled, "Are you okay?"

He turned around, facing me properly, and held my hands, "Yeah, I'm fine - are you okay?"

"Of course, it's you I'm worried about..."

Peter shook his head and sighed, "You don't deserve this...I ruined your life –"

"Hey, no, no, no," I denied, holding his face in my hands, "Look at me, I'm here...We're going to get through this together." I looked into his eyes, "We're going to get through it together, okay?"

Peter nodded and let out a soft 'okay'. I laid my forehead onto his then closing my eyes I let out a soft sigh. Time paused for a moment, it was only just Peter and me in our own world - with both of us honoring each other's presence.

I felt at peace and so was he.

Then after a while, we were interrupted by someone clearing their throat. We pulled away and saw Peter (Ed), "Uh-sorry for interrupting but we need to run the diagnostics."

"Oh right yeah, sorry," Peter muttered and worked on the computer.

"It's sweet to see young love." Peter (Ed) added.

"Yeah?" I replied, "Aren't you young?" A part of me keeps thinking that he's Ed, but another part knows that he isn't.

Peter (Ed) shrugged, "Not really - well I'm certainly older than you two, I've recently graduated college."

I nodded, "Right. Let me guess, you went to a STEM school? Majoring in physics or mathematics?"

He chuckled, shaking his head, "I did love STEM in high school but I decided to follow my heart, not my head. I went to Rhode Island School of Design."

Ed's dream school.

I was so tempted to ask if he really came back from the dead but I know that's absolutely bizarre.

"Oh wow."

"And I met the love of my life there," He added, "I had a very happy life for a superhero,"

And what I hoped for Ed in another universe had come true - Living in peace and happiness. Peter was listening attentively to our conversation.

"Must've been nice," he said, working on the chemicals for the serum.

Peter (Ed) looked at Peter and smiled, "Yes it was." He patted Peter on the back, "Don't worry, we'll bring your happy life back."

"Peter!" Ned exclaimed suddenly.
