Harry was lying down on his bed, thinking about the Triwizard Tournament. Someone had deliberately put his name in the cup, which forced him to take part in the tournament. Nearly everyone in school thought that he had put his name in the cup and made no effort to even ask him how it came out. Only Hermione stuck by him, not even Ron. Hermione, his best friend and the one whom he considered his sister, had supported him and helped him through the tasks. Ron, being the jealous git he was, thought he had put his name in the cup and only when he survived the first task did Ron become his friend again. In the final task, he and Cedric had taken then cup which transported them to a graveyard. Voldemort had risen, and Pettigrew had killed Cedric. He was lucky to have escaped, alive.

Suddenly he heard a sharp tap-tap sound coming from the window and looked up to see and owl. He rushed over and opened the window, allowing the bird to come in and land on his bed. He gently took the letter from its beak and looked at the letter. It was written in beautiful handwriting and Harry knew that it was Hermione's. He opened the letter and began reading.

Dear Harry,
I hope you are well and I hope that the muggles aren't treating you bad. You may be wondering about this owl, aren't you? Well Mum and Dad bought me one for getting top marks. His name is Archimedes. Isn't he adorable? Speaking of Mum and Dad, I don't think I can call them that anymore. I'm still thinking about the conversation between Ron, Ginny and Dumbledore, which we overheard. Do you think we should do something about it? I hope to see you soon.

With lots of love,

Hermione

Harry chuckled and pet the owl gently. His thoughts slowly drifted to a conversation he heard after the Tournament between Ron, Ginny and Dumbledore.

-Flashback-

He and Hermione were walking down the corridor when they heard some voices, which they recognized.

"When will we get the money?" Ron whined.

"Calm down Mr. Weasley. I will transfer the money to you after the academic year. After all, I'm paying you with Mr. Potter's money. Now, you both have to continue dosing Miss Granger and Mr. Potter with love potions."

"Yes." Ginny said with dreamy eyes, "And then he'll be mine along with all the money and riches."

"I have placed the appearance charm on them, so that the keep looking like this. They can't find that they're adopted. When Mr. Potter defeats the Dark Lord, Ginny and Harry will get married and then after you bear him a son, we can kill Harry and then all the riches will be ours!" Dumbledore exclaimed.

"Yes, we will continue to dose them. We'll get all the fame and money." Ron said gleefully.

The three of them walked away. Harry and Hermione looked at each and ran away from there, hoping that what they heard was not true.

-End of Flashback-

Harry became angry. The people he had trusted had betrayed him. Ron, his first friend had been using him for the fame and the money. Ginny, the one whom he thought he liked had been dosing him with love potions and Dumbledore, the one who was like a mentor to him, had been stealing from him and know Harry knew what Dumbledore really was. A manipulative old bastard.

He took his quill and a parchment and began writing a letter to Hermione.

Dear Hermione,

I'm doing fine and the Dursleys are trying their best to ignore me, which is fine by me as long as I avoid them too. I too have been thinking about the conversation for quite some time. If what Dumbledore says is true that means that I'm not a Potter and you're not a Granger. I have this feeling that this connects us both in some way. Perhaps we're actually siblings? I don't know. But there's only one option now. We have to find the truth about ourselves. We can go to Gringotts. I heard that they offer Inheritance Tests, which proves our family members. Could you perhaps sneak out and meet me at Diagon Alley sometime this week? Hope to see you too.

Lots of love,

Harry

Harry gave the letter to Archimedes who flew out of the window, to deliver the letter to Hermione.

Harry sat in silence. He could feel the pain and anger of their betrayal. The lies, the hurt and everything they had done. Harry thought about who his real parents could be. He only hoped that they would accept him and if his parents were dark. If they were, he would gladly go over to their side as he knew that Dumbledore was the one behind all this mess.

Hermione's reply came almost immediately.

Dear Harry,

My parents told me that I'm adopted and that I'm not a Granger, but I'm grateful that they raised me. They have allowed me to go to Diagon Alley. How about tomorrow at 10 AM. My parents will drop me to Leaky Cauldron and I'll be bringing all my stuff. Will you be able to come? If so, meet you there tomorrow.

Love,

Hermione.

Harry quickly scribbled down a yes and sent the letter with Archimedes. He smiled and thought 'I'll finally get away from here'

He quickly packed his trunk with his clothes, broom, parchment, equipment and all his books. Harry glanced at the old clock hung on the wall. It was 7 PM, that meant there was a few more hours left. He took out Hogwarts: A history and began reading. He'd never actually made an effort to study, but he was actually quite intelligent, almost as smart as Hermione. He had acted dumb so that Ron would not feel that he was the only dumb person. But, now that he knew that Ron had betrayed him, he resolved to study with all his might.

He didn't quite realize how much time had passed, while he was reading and then glanced at the clock and saw that it was 10:30. He put his book in his bag and changed into night clothes and lay down on his bed, thinking about the next day. He then, drifted off to sleep with a smile on his face.

The next day he woke up, excited. He would be leaving the Dursleys and he would meet Hermione. It was currently 8 AM, so he quickly changed into jeans, t-shirt and a hoodie. He had discovered that Diagon Alley was not that far from Privet drive. He could easily walk there without getting tired. So, at 9:30 he picked up his trunk and wand and walked out of his bedroom. He looked to see if the coast was clear and then walked down the stairs before slipping out of the front door.

He walked all the way to the Leaky Cauldron. He waited by the door for Hermione. A few minutes later a car drove by and stopped in front of the Leaky Cauldron. Hermione stepped out with her trunk and Harry ran forward and hugged her. She shrieked, then realizing who he was, calmed down and hugged him back. Mr. and Mrs. Granger stepped out of the car and greeted Harry.

"Please protect her, Harry. Even though we aren't her real parents, we love her as her own." Mrs. Granger pleaded.

"I will, Mrs. Granger." Harry promised.

The Grangers thanked Harry, bid goodbye to Hermione, saying that she was always welcome at their house. Hermione nodded and the Grangers left.

"Shall we go?" Hermione asked and Harry nodded. He put on his hood and they headed inside. They went all the way to the end and opened the door. Harry then took his wand and tapped the bricks in order. The entrance to Diagon Alley opened and they walked down the path towards Gringotts.

They had one thing in mind and that was to find out who they really were.
