The Riddle Twins

Chapter 2

Harry and Hermione walked to Gringotts and up the steps. They walked to a teller, who was writing something on a piece of parchment.

"Greetings Master Teller. My name is Harry Potter and this is Hermione Granger, "Harry greeted. "We would like to take an inheritance test."

The Goblin looked up, surprised and then nodded and said, "My name is Gornuk. I will be taking you to Lord Ragnok for the inheritance test." The Goblin led them through the bank and they stopped at a pair of huge golden doors. Gornuk knocked on the door and a moment later a voice boomed, "Come in."

Gornuk opened the door and Harry and Hermione entered. The office was grand, and it looked somewhat liked Dumbledore's office, with the portraits and the equipment. The Goblin was old, no doubt about that, but he was regal looking. He was sitting on a chair and there was a mahogany desk in front of him on which pieces of blank parchment were kept.

The Goblin looked up and saw them.

"Greetings Mr. Potter and Ms. Granger. My name is Ragnok."

"Greetings Director Ragnok." They said in unison.

Ragnok looked at Gornuk and said, "Thank you Gornuk, you may leave now." Gornuk bowed and walked out, closing the door behind him.

"We both would like to take an inheritance test." Hermione said.

"Very well." Ragnok nodded and snapped his fingers. Two blank parchments and two knives appeared.

"Cut your fingers and allow seven drops of blood to fall on the parchment." Ragnok ordered and they nodded.

Harry cut his finger and allowed seven drops of blood to fall on the parchment and Hermione did the same. Words began to fall on the parchment and once they were finished, they picked up their tests and began reading it.

Harry had picked up his parchment and was reading it and what he read shocked him to the core.
