September 1st finally arrived, the day they would finally board the Hogwarts Express and head back to Hogwarts; this time as different people. The four of them headed to Kings Cross Station. They walked between platform 9 and 10 and arrived at the platform.
Smoke from the engine drifted over the heads of the chattering crowd, while cats of every color wound here and there between their legs. Owls hooted to each other in a disgruntled sort of way over the babble and scraping of trunks
The first few carriages were already packed with students, some hanging out of the window to talk to their families, some fighting over seats.
"Ares, Athena!" A voice yelled excitedly. Draco came running up towards them and hugged them.
"Calm down, Draco." Ares chuckled.
Lucius and Narcissa walked towards them, amused smiles on their faces.
"Hello Uncle Luc, Aunt Cissa." Athena greeted.
"Hello Athena." Narcissa smiled. They all spent time together and had grown close. Ares and Athena had forgiven Draco and they were now the best of friends.
"Now, remember you have to visit during Christmas." Sirius said.
"We will." Ares promised.
"Off you go." They hugged their family once more and boarded the train. Draco led them to the compartment he usually sat in. Inside, Ares recognized Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle and Pansy Parkinson. Other than that, there was a tall boy with dark eyes, a boy with silver eyes and a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Draco!" Pansy exclaimed. "Who are those two?"
"This is Ares Black, my Godbrother." Draco gestured to Ares, "and this is Athena, his twin."
"Ares, Athena; these are my friends Gregory Goyle, Vincent Crabbe, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, Theodore Nott and Daphne Greengrass." Draco introduced them.
"Nice to meet you." Theodore stood up and held out his hand. Ares shook it and sat down beside Draco.
Athena sat down beside Daphne. They sat down talking about school and everything and soon the train left the station.

All of them were talking to each other when suddenly the compartment door opened and out stood Weasley. Ares sneered at him, remembering how he had betrayed him.
"Who are you?" Weasley demanded looking at him and Athena.
"I don't think you need to know that." Athena said coldly.
"I'm Harry Potter's best friend." Weasley said proudly.
"Well then where is he?" Ares said looking around and Weasley's face became red.
"He's-he's in the compartment. But that doesn't matter." He looked at Ares. "You'll soon find out some wizarding families are much better than others. You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there." He held out his hand to shake Ares', but Ares didn't take it.
He remembered that these were the exact some words Draco told him on the train and smirked.
"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks," he said coolly. He took out his wand and flicked it. Ron was pushed backwards and the compartment door slam shut. He looked at Draco and they burst out laughing. Athena too began laughing as Ares had told her what had happened. The others looked at them, confused.

Finally, they arrived at Hogwarts. Draco and the others went by the carriages and Ares and Athena, as they were coming as different people, had to go with the first years. They crossed the lake and reached the castle. Professor McGonagall told them about the houses and then took a stool with the sorting hat on it and led them through the great Hall. Ares and Athena stood behind the frightened first years as Professor McGonagall placed the stool at the top.
The first years' faces glowed palely in the candlelight. A small boy right in the middle of the row looked as though he was trembling. Ares recalled, fleetingly, how terrified he had felt when he had stood there, waiting for the unknown test that would determine to which House he belonged. The whole school waited with bated breath. Then the rip near the hat's brim opened wide like a mouth and the Sorting Hat burst into song:
A thousand years or more ago,
When I was newly sewn,
There lived four wizards of renown,
Whose names are still well known:
Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor,
Fair Ravenclaw, from glen,
Sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad,
Shrewd Slytherin, from fen.
They shared a wish, a hope, a dream,
They hatched a daring plan
To educate young sorcerers
Thus Hogwarts School began.
Now each of these four founders
Formed their own house, for each
Did value different virtues
In the ones they had to teach.
By Gryffindor, the bravest were
Prized far beyond the rest;
For Ravenclaw, the cleverest
Would always be the best;
For Hufflepuff, hard workers were
Most worthy of admission;
And power-hungry Slytherin
Loved those of great ambition.
While still alive they did divide
Their favorites from the throng,
Yet how to pick the worthy ones
When they were dead and gone?
'Twas Gryffindor who found the way,
He whipped me off his head
The founders put some brains in me
So I could choose instead!
Now slip me snug about your ears,
I've never yet been wrong,
I'll have a look inside your mind
And tell where you belong!Professor McGonagall lowered her eyes to her long piece of parchment and called out, "Abercrombie, Euan." The terrified-looking boy Ares had noticed earlier stumbled forward and put the hat on his head; it was only prevented from falling right down to his shoulders by his very prominent ears. The hat considered for a moment, then the rip near the brim opened again and shouted, "GRYFFINDOR!"
The Gryffindors clapped as Euan Abercrombie staggered to their table and sat down, looking as though he would like very much to sink through the floor and never be looked at again.
Slowly the long line of first years thinned. Finally, "Zeller, Rose" was sorted into Hufflepuff, finally McGonagall said, "We have two new students who will be joining 5th year. Ares Black, you first."
Ares walked up, and he could feel everyone's eyes on him.
McGonagall placed the hat on his head.
"Hello Ares Black, or should I say Riddle." The hat said.
"Yes, that's the reason you almost sorted me in Slytherin when I first came in didn't you?" Ares said in his mind.
"Yes, I told you Slytherin would help you on the way to glory." The hat said.
"Well, then you certainly know where to put me." Ares said and the hat shouted "SLYTHERIN!"
The Slytherin table applauded and he smirked as he walked to the Slytherin table and sat down next to his Godbrother.
"Told you." He smirked and watched his twin sitting on the stool as McGonagall placed the hat on her head. Immediately the hat shouted, "SLYTHERIN!" Athena walked to the Slytherin table, as they applauded and sat down next to her twin.
"Who would have thought that the Gryffindor Golden Boy and the Gryffindor Princess would be Slytherins?" Draco whispered to them and they snickered.
"That was when we were different people." Athena said.
They watched as Dumbledore stood up, he was looking somewhat panicked.
"I have a few announcements to make." Dumbledore said. "First, welcome new students, we hope you enjoy your time at Hogwarts. Secondly, I have some bad news. Harry Potter and Hermione Granger have disappeared." The whole school gasped, but Ares and Athena smirked at Draco, who grinned back.
"We have no clue where they are, they seemed to have disappeared and the Ministry can't locate them. The only answer is that they're dead." Dumbledore bowed his head and everyone gaped at him.
