The Riddle Twins

Chapter 5

Ares and Athena were taught on how to be perfect purebloods. Sirius taught them Pureblood Etiquette, Dark Arts, Potions, Charms, Astronomy, Ancient Runes, Dueling and how to become an Animagus. Remus taught them Transfiguration, Herbology, History of Magic, Care of Magical Creatures, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Arithmancy, Muggle Studies and Alchemy. They were extremely powerful and intelligent and learnt things extremely fast. They trained every day and nearly finished the curriculum by the end of one month. They had also discovered that they had a twin bond, so they could communicate through their minds.

The twins were currently in the dueling room preparing for a duel against each other, with Sirius as the judge.

They stood on the platform bowed to each other, turned back and took a few steps before turning back and taking up their dueling stance.

"Begin!" Sirius said and the duel started.

"Confringo! Reducto! Stupefy!" Athena shouted. Ares easily blocked it with a shield.

"Incendio!" He shouted and Athena blocked it with, "Glacius."

"Incarcerous." Athena said and Ares dodged it.

"Avis." Ares said and while she was dodging it, Ares took up the chance and said, "Expelliarmus! Stupefy!"

Her wand flew out of her hand and into her twin's hand and she fell down unconscious.

"Winner, Ares." Sirius announced and the duel ended.

Ares went up to Athena's side and muttered, "Rennervate." She blinked and looked up at him and then scowled.

"You always beat me." She complained. Ares chuckled and shook his head.

"I may beat you in dueling, but you're smarter than me." He grinned.

Athena shook her head and then grinned.

"Well done pups." Sirius said and hugged them both, "You both are certainly going to be the most powerful in the wizarding world. I bet you, you could give Dumbledore a run for his money."

"Well, I don't think he's going to have any money soon, is he?" Ares said and they all burst into laughter.

They headed back to the lounge where Remus was sitting, reading a book.

"Who won?" He asked as he saw them enter.

"Me." Ares grinned and Remus chuckled.

"Merlin Ares, you've won every single match."

"That's true, but Athena has beaten me in every test you've given about the subjects." Ares countered.

"Well, that is true." Remus admitted.

They sat down and Sirius said, "When are you going to contact the Malfoys?"

The twins looked at each other.

"We were planning to contact them somewhere this week. It's been a month and we've got used to being Riddles so we thought about contacting them."

"That's actually a good idea. But, why not contact them today? The quicker, the better." Sirius suggested.

The twins looked at each other and grinned, "Why not?" They said in unison.

Ares wandlessly summoned a parchment, while Athena summoned a quill.

Ares quickly wrote down a letter.

Heir Malfoy,

I wish to meet you and your family to discuss something of great importance. Meet me at Potter Manor. You can come via floo, just say 'Potter Manor' and you will be transported here. This is not a trick and I request you to come. You may come at 12:00 and we can arrange some lunch as well.
