Right when I thought Dolores and I were getting along, we start arguing again, you think.

You exhale as you continue making your way towards your door, where you can hopefully get some sleep before you have to wake in about two hours. Mirabel was always the one knocking on everyone's doors, letting them know that it was time to start the day.

"I need to stop thinking and just shut my brain down," you say to yourself, "I'll worry about this in the morning."

Once you make it to your room, you throw yourself onto your bed, and onto your stomach. You were exhausted and just about ready to give up. You reminded yourself that you'll be asleep soon enough.

You stretched your arms out and yawned. As you opened your eyes, you were nearly blinded. Wow, it's really bright outside for 7:30 in the morning for Colombia, you thought. You took a glance at your clock just to make sure the time in your head was right. It was somewhat accurate. The alarm clock read "8:04am," you must've been extra tired from the investigation last night with your sister.

After you got ready for the busy, upcoming day ahead, you opened your door. Walking out, you stub your pinkie toe, "Owwwwww," you whisper, while screaming at the same time.

You run down the hallway, ignoring your toe, and hoping you wouldn't get into any sort of trouble for sleeping in. In the process of running, you look behind you, making sure the door of your room is closed. But suddenly, you crash into something, it was a person. You fall down onto the ground and look up. It was Luisa.

"Careful Camilo!" She exclaims, "You could hurt someone!"

"Sorry," you say as you place your hand behind your head, "I didn't mean to."

"I know you didn't. Also, tia Pepa was looking for you, but I'll tell her you're alive."

"Thanks?"

"No problem. I've got to go now, bye primo!"

"Good-bye."

As yours and Luisa's conversation ends, you realize that you forgot something, again. I forgot to ask her about Mirabel and the magic! You think.

      "Wait, Luisa!" You call out.

      "Everything alright?"

"No, not really. I need to talk to you about something important."

"If it's really that important, sure." She starts, "But if it's not, I've got an even bigger number of chores to do today, and I can't waste any spare time."

You think, I could ask Isabela or tía Julieta if Luisa's busy right now...

"It's kinda that important, but could I talk to you about it later? Would that work?"

"Sure, after dinner will work for me."

       "Alright, see you at dinner!"

"Okay, just remind me so I don't forget, I'm feeling really tired today."

"Will do," you wave to your cousin and strut over to Isabela's room. If she wasn't in there, then she was probably somewhere in town.

You knock on her door, and after 30 seconds, there was no response. You turn around, and right as you approach the stairs, you hear a rather high pitched voice say, "Camilo, you suck at ding-dong ditching."
