You were assigned to the town, along with tía Julieta and Antonio. In doing so, you begin to get curious and wonder about Bruno. Who got his gift? Who's gift did he get? Where is he?
————————————————————————
You refused to let your sudden interest of Bruno take over, so you followed them into the town. Once the three of you made it to the front door of Casita, you were just about you pull the handle, but someone opened the door just before you could. It whacked you in the forehead and made you jump back. Oww. You didn't let yourself say anything aloud, but as for the person at the door, it was a bit blurry. You could make out a tall, strong looking girl with a soft and caring face, Luisa!

"Oops! I'm sorry Camilo," she said to specifically you.

"Everything's fine," you assure while rubbing the back of your head with your fingers.

You and your prima let Julieta and Antonio go out the front door first. Just as you were about to take a step out of the doorway, Luisa whispers, "Didn't you wanna tell me about something really important?"

"Yeah, about that..." you say as you bring your hand to the back of your head, stretching it slowly.

"What?" Luisa was really anxious. She placed her hands on your shoulders and demanded that you tell her.

"Okay, okay. Look at the candle, it's visibly flickering more than usual, and Dolores could hear it too," you begin, making sure you used the past tense of the word "can," because it's not true anymore. You earn her interest in the subject and she finally removes her what used to be strong hands off of your shoulder.

"Go on," she says.

You hesitate, but then say, "It's tío Bruno. He never left, and he's been living in the walls for more than ten years."

Her face changes from focus to utter shock, "I...let's just say I wasn't expecting that," a ridiculous smile paints her face.

"You saw Bruno's vision, right? Mirabel was in front of Casita, and Casita was breaking."

"It all makes sense! Wait what, no it doesn't. This doesn't explain why I'm loosing my gift."

You laugh to yourself, almost silently as you bring your palm to your face, "I can't believe I forgot to explain that."

"So...?"

"Make me mad somehow," your cousin reacts confusingly but then says with a smirk, "You're short." You roll your eyes, knowing it's very true.

Thunder strikes, almost hitting your prima, "Whoa," she begins, "How did this all happen?"

"I think it all has something to do with the candle flickering. Oh, and it's either your new gift is hearing, seeing the future, healing people by your cooking, or you got my gift: shapeshifting. 1/10, definitely do not recommend."

You try to teach her how to shape shift like you, but that doesn't work. Next, you test out her hearing, and she fails miserably.

"There's two more left prima," you start, "We'll try out your mamá's gift, and if that doesn't work, we know you have Bruno's." You weren't quite sure how Bruno had his visions, that's why you saved it for last.

The two of you walk into the kitchen. She begins to prepare food like there's no tomorrow. She looks like she knows what she's doing, you smile. While watching her, you give yourself a painful paper cut for her to hopefully fix up.

"Done!" She says, handing you an arepa, your absolute favorite food made by your tía.

You begin to watch your finger as you take a good sized bite out of the arepa. And then, it happened. There was no paper cut on your right  index finger anymore!

"Congratulations Luisa! You found your new gift, and it was delicious!" You motion for your prima to give you a high five, but you take your hand away last second and say, "sike." The two of you smile happily. She rolls her eyes at your actions.

"Y'know Camilo, I'm really grateful this happened. There was so much pressure on me when I had my old gift, and it's super nice to just take a little break from that."

You grin widely, but feel sorry for Luisa at the same time as you and your cousin begin to walk back into the village, trying to find the rest of your family, and discover their gifts. But, the amazing moment was interrupted by Isa loudly yelling, "OH MY GOD, MY GIFT!"
