But, the amazing moment was interrupted by Isa loudly yelling, "OH MY GOD, MY GIFT!"
———————————————————————-
Anticipating her new gift, you quickly hurried to her room, telling Luisa to, "stay here until I get back." She nods her head.

You begin to fly up the stairs, skipping one step at a time, still looking down with both your eyes and your head this time. Once you make it almost to the top, you trip on either your own foot, or the stairs. You couldn't tell since you were in such a hurry, excited to see if you were correct about her gift.

"Dang, that's like my 14th time tripping in the last two days," you say as you scratch your head.

Your knee was probably about to start swelling up in a good-sized bruise, and your hands were all scraped up, so you walk, instead of run the rest of the journey to your cousin's room.

Once you reach her door, which was a bit dimmer than normal, you turn the doorknob to already see Dolores and Mirabel comforting Isabela.

Dolores walks up to you and whispers, "She has your gift, she's got shape shifting," into your left ear hole. You nod with a small, but noticeable grin on your face.

You begin to demonstrate to Isa how to use your original gift. It was quite hard, considering you couldn't actually demonstrate since you didn't have your powers, but it eventually worked out for both of you. You told her tips, and how to use it of course. However, you never told her about the whole identity crisis thing you had going on.

"I assume that you've told her this whole, weird situation?" You turn to Mirabel, speaking to her. She nods as you continue, "Welp, with that, we have to begin looking for the others."

Your mind wonders about Bruno again.

You persuade them to go out and search for the others while you do something. They don't know what you're doing, but you do. You strut down the hallway and make your way into Bruno's painting. You land on both feet with a clump.

"Tío Bruno?" You say, "Uhh, are you possibly in here?"

Someone or something grabs you by the arm, scaring the absolute crap out of you. You look straight ahead, examining it's features: about the same height as you, green cloakey looking thing, and tightly waved black hair with gray highlights.

It's Bruno.

You exhale, relieved that some random thing didn't just pull you into a dark spot inside of the wall, that would've just been creepy.

You fix your posture and notice that you are about a hair taller than him, you smirk.

"What are you doing here, kid?" He asks.

"So we've got this little situation," you begin. You take a deep breath in and say quickly, "The candle is flickering and we all lost our gifts, we got new ones, most of us figured it out, or literally freaked out, and I came here to ask you about your new gift."

You catch your breath as Bruno says, "I think I know, is Dolores' gift already taken?"

"Nope! Are you sure that's your power? We should try having you take a hearing test!"

He raises an eyebrow, clearly not knowing what you meant.

"Just see if you can hear me." You back away about 15-20 feet and whisper, "Casita."

Bruno's face lights up, "Did you say, 'Casita'?"

You give him a thumbs up as you begin to exit his hole in the wall, smiling as he gently waves goodbye. You walk to your dimmed door across the hallway. It's coloration was just like Isabela's. You shrug to yourself as you open it.

Once inside, you look to the right, and there it was, that one stupid mirror. It was one of the many scattered all around your room. The reflection stared back at you as you stared back at it. You walk over to the oval shaped thing, and look at yourself more closely.

It took you a minute to remember that you were without your old power. You were back to being normal, back to being yourself, back to being the person no one else wanted you to be.

But, you realized something as your eyes widened and your body froze. Back to normal, back to my normal body. You sat down, admiring your original features: your curly head of golden brown hair, your lovely green eyes, and your pretty freckles, sprinkled across your face.

This was who you really were, if the mirror wasn't playing tricks on you.

You touched your face and it's features as your eyes begin to water. For about 10 years, they have been waiting for this amazing moment to finally come. This was the moment where you felt like you.
