"Right, right, right. Now you question me"

"My notes or yours?"

"Mine", Dante shuffled the sheets of paper beside him, "Plus this" he handed the sheet to Camilo who cleared his throat and looked for a question to ask his study buddy.

This was just only one of the bros' study sessions to pass their classes. Usually, they'd do it with the other theatre kids and at school but now it was just them questioning each other in la casa Madrigal's sala on a warm Saturday afternoon. For two months they've been going to school and for two months they've been enduring the agony of seeing their friend's dad treat them as strangers.

Every day he was strict. He enforced ridiculous rules like making sure their hands were clean, no miscellaneous objects on their tables, Always. Sit. Properly. No favoritism, no funny business, no cuts, no butts, no coconuts - he was always straight to the point during his lectures, asking questions, and clarifying questions, and honestly?

Camilo was starting to like his teaching style.

He didn't like Señor Ernesto's teaching style for the sole reason that he was best friends with his daughter and that he was now terrified of going to her house because how was he gonna act if he was in the same room as the strictest professor of the school year out of school?  Before Camilo was just fine with going to the deLos Reyes house, anytime, any day, he just had to be nice and knock, but now? He wasn't sure if he should still follow the class rules or just act normal.

But putting that aside, Señor deLos Reyes was actually a really good teacher. He made things simple and easily understandable by being straight to the point and giving honest feedback.

To make things short, Professor Ernesto deLos Reyes was really scary but really, really good at teaching.

Camilo has found the question he wanted to quiz Dante with. He smirked and threw his arm over the couch's backrest. Dante responded by placing his elbows on his knees, and intertwining his fingers as he leaned forward, "Challenge me", he said.

Camilo smirked more. He was sure Dante hasn't reviewed this tiny scribble on the margins of the paper. He opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by a yell from outside the sala.

"SIT STRAIGHT, DON'T SLOUCH, PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR TABLE!"

"AHH! SI SEÑOR! wait, huh-? Y/NNNNNN!!" the boys stopped their scrambling as a doubled-over Y/N deLos Reyes emerged from behind the sala wall.

"Why would you do that?" Camilo sighed exasperatedly.

"Bro, we're traumatized", Dante grumbled, shoving his face into the couch cushions.

Y/N was still laughing as she walked over to the sala.

"Wow, this place is a mess", Y/N said, putting the bag of whatever she brought on Dante's head, earning a muffled "Hey!", before plopping herself down beside Camilo who had his arm over the backrest again.

"What's this?", Dante said opening the bag, "Spanish bread", Y/N replied with a smile.

"Oooh!" Dante giggled as he wiggled his fingers, picking whichever seemed to be the biggest. He took what satisfied him and threw another piece at Camilo who caught it without looking. He was squinting his eyes at Y/N who was just looking at him, biting her bottom lip to prevent a smile.

Camilo took a bite out of his spanish bread. He exhaled through his nose slowly in replacement of what was supposed to be a sigh as the delicious bread and filling melted in his mouth. He wasn't gonna let food weaken his resolve again.

Y/N saw through him immediately so she just kept smiling.

"What?", she asked innocently before biting her lip again.
