Peter

"So your genius plan is for me to reverse the spell?" Wanda voiced Peter's previous words laughing whole-heartedly.

"Y-yes" I replied just above a whisper.

"And what makes you think I can do that? I can't do that" Wanda said shaking her head with a small smile.

"You're powerful" I reasoned as I glanced over at Isa who simply sat there quietly in our exchange.

"I am. But not that powerful Peter" She tells me with a small smile.

"You underestimate yourself. I've seen what you can do. And I believe you can do this" I tell her looking at her desperately.

"And I truly touched that you have so much faith in me. But I'm telling you Peter I can't do it" She tells shaking her head in disapproval.

"We could try" I pushed as she gives me a stern look.

"Reversing the spell could do more bad than good. Have you considered what could happen if we reverse the spell yet again?" She asks me as I ponder a question but stay silent when I can think of a good answer.

"This is why I can't reverse the spell Peter. Our reality is fragile and we always have to think twice before doing something we'll regret. I learned that the hard way" She tells me looking down at the wood floor.

"You're referring to West View?" Isa added as Wanda directed her gaze towards her.

"Yes. And I hurt a lot of innocent people. Peter believe me when I say I understand grief better than anyone" She tells me as she stands up and kneels in front of my couch.

She grabs my hands and smiles sadly. "I'm sorry about your Aunt and about your friends. But you cannot heal by going back to what broke you Peter" She tells me squeezing my hand.

"And I wish I could do more for you. Believe me. But I cannot. And I'm sorry you had to come down all this way" She adds with guilty eyes sighing sadly.

"I understand. It was a long shot. If you expect disappointment, then you can never really get disappointed" I tell her as my heart longed for the old and simpler times.

"That's a tough way to live" Wanda tells me frowning at my response.

"I guess so" I tell her. Isa spoke up "Peter. Your current situation is not a final destination" She whispers softly towards me.

"We will find a way. Plus, you'll get your friends back. And I'll make sure of it" She tells me rubbing my back to cheer me up.

"Wanda is just a very disappointing bump in our road not our dead end. Okay? So stop frowning. You are dimming my light" She teases playfully making chuckle softly.

"Alright. Well we got what we came here for. So we will alone now. And we promise not to bother you again" Isabel tells Wanda as she tugs on my arm ]signaling we should go.

"Let me at least help you with your ankle" Wanda offers as I roll my eyes. "No thanks. It will heal on its own" She tells her rudely turning to me with softer eyes.

"Peter let's go" She tells me as I nod. "Wanda. Thank you." I thank her as she smiles sadly at me.

"I'll see you again someday. I'm sure" I add as she hugs me goodbye.

"Peter. Wait. I'll try." Wanda tells me as I help Isa walk out of her house.

"I don't promise anything. But I can do some digging. Look for some loopholes in the astral projection. When will you be back in New York?" she asks me as I smile at her happily.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you" I expressed excitedly hugging her tightly and lifting her off the ground with ease.

"Don't thank me yet" She chuckles patting my back.

"We will return in 3 days" Isa speaks on my behalf as I come to Isa's side so she can lean on me for support.

"Ok. I will meet you there" She tells us. "Oh and I should leave my address" I remind her as Wanda speaks up.

"It's not necessary. I already know" She tells me as I laugh replying with a "Right."

"I'll see you then. And thank you." I smile at her "for trying anyways" I add wrapping one of my arms around Isa's waist.

"Nice meeting Isabel" Wanda bids her goodbye as Isa looks over her shoulder.

"I can't say the same but thanks for helping my friend" She tells her as Wanda nods.

"You're welcome Isabel" Wanda replies as we leave her house.

We walked slowly and in silence. I had Isa hop on my back again so we could walk faster. Once we were safely back in our car we both visibly relaxed.

"All things considered. I think that was a pretty successful trip" Isa tells me as she chuckles to herself.

"I guess you proved me wrong" I tell her as she smirks.

"No surprise there" He sassed cockily.

"I want a burger, you?" I asked her randomly.

"Yes. I'm starving" She tells me.

"I can't believe this actually worked" I muttered as I began driving away.

"I got my ass kicked but it was worth it. You're getting your girlfriend and best friend back. Oh and let's not forget Happy" She reminds me as I smiled widely.

"I think so" I tell her as she rolls her eyes. "It will happen" She rephrases on my behalf.

"You know I never had any siblings. And I'm glad through all of this I've found a sister" I tell her grabbing her hand in mine.

"Me too" She smiles back squeezing my hand. "Even if you are an annoying little brat" She teases me as I gasp while dramatically dropping her hand from mine.

"Wow. And here I thought we were having a moment" I retort as she giggles at me.

"Not in this universe" She sasses as we both laugh with a mutual feeling that things will be somehow be alright.
