Isabel

I can't believe I just told him. What the hell was I even thinking? Oh. my. god.

I can't get him involved in any way. I'll just put him in harms way. And I can't do that. I won't do that.

I'm pretty sure I fell asleep with permanent stress lines on my forehead. And I dreamt of Peter dying in about half a dozen different ways.

So, yes, I had a restless night to say the least.

I woke up to a soft knock on my door and then someone barging in without waiting for a confirmation.

Peter.

"So I read the entire thing and I still don't get it. I mean-I-I may have to read it a second time over just to be sure but I-I don't get it" He tells as I squint my eyes at him groaning sleepily trying to snuggle deeper into my covers and simply ignore him.

"So-so what is it?" He urges as he comes to lay on my other side of the bed dumping the heavy book load on my stomach. "Peter" I groan in pain as I shove the book to the side.

"Go away" I whined covering my face with a pillow as he grabs it from me and puts it under his head to make himself more comfortable.

"I wanna sleep" I whined as I turn to my side. "I'll keep talking. Eventually you'll give up and wake up" He taunts as he sighs as I groan again.

"Jeez. Fine. I'm up!" I snapped grumpily shuffling back around pulling the covers right below my chin.

"What!" I snapped sternly as I stare at his side profile. I'm pretty jealous he has a very nice profile. I would have a double chin if anything.

His eyes were closed and his breathing was steady. "No no no. You don't get to fall asleep" I counter as I start hearing (rather quickly may I add) his soft snores.

"So much for talking" I groaned turning back around and closing my eyes again.

"At least you won't annoy me again" I mumble under my breath as I grip a pillow close to me and let sleep take over.

I flutter my eyes open, yawning as I stretch more fully. I bump my hand into something hard. I snap my head to my right noticing Peter still by my side sleeping like a log.

"Peter" I mumbled shaking him slightly to no vail. "Peter" I whined again smacking a pillow on his face.

"Ow" He groaned yanking the pillow from my grasp and throwing it at me.

"We fell asleep" I told him as he yawns with his eyes still closed. "What-what does the book mean?" He asks me as he opens his eyes and turns on his side to look at me better.

"It means I can't stay here if my suspicions are correct" I admit with a small frown on my face.

"Wait" He reacts propping himself up on his elbows as he looks down at me. "leaving?" He adds as he shakes his head in disagreement.

"You can't leave us" He declares furrowing his eyebrows together. "You will be fine" I assured him with a sad smile.

"Well it doesn't matter because we will figure out a way. We always do. So stop saying you're leaving" He says sternly as he lays back down looking at the ceiling in irritation.

"I'm the reason why the multiverse exists I think" I confessed in a very tiny voice. Peter turns his head to side.

"Why?" He asks softly as I sigh. "The day New York was under attack. That's the day I figure out something very important" I tell him vaguely as he silently urges me to continue.

"Well?" He says in a hushed-whisper.

"I can't" I tell him softly as he shakes his head. "Just tell me" He pushes as I sigh carefully.

"I just can't" I repeat looking over at him as he frowns.

"Okay then tell me what does Wanda have to do with any of this?" Peter asks me as I roll my eyes.

"Peter. You're smart. Figure it out" I snapped harshly as he pouts. "I didn't bat an eye yesterday reading this crap and I might as well should've just sleep my eight hours because I understood absolutely nothing" He complains looking down at the book by his feet with hatred.

"And I am smart. Super smart. Freakishly smart. And I can't understand." He tells me looking over at me.

"Could you? I mean there were several sections that weren't even a language, just plain symbol codes of some sort" He tells me urging me to say something.

"The thing is I understood everything. Like kindergarten homework. Easier than that even. It felt like I didn't even have to read to understand. I just knew. And it scares me because I don't why" I tell him truthfully looking at his lighter brown eyes.

"We will figure it out" He assures me softly and I shake my head in disagreement.

"I already have. I just- I've been struggling to come to terms with it" I admit biting my lips nervously.

"Come to terms with what Isa?" He asks me again more softly.

"Come to terms with the fact that I have to leave soon and I don't want to. I love my life here. I have people that I care about here. My life is great here" I tell him my voice breaking being overwhelmed by emotion. I could feel tears on the bream of my eyes.

Peter frown slightly scooting closer to me frowning.

"Why do you keep saying that? Stop it" He groans angrily at me.

There was a long silence before I utter the words I've been dreading to say aloud for some time now.

" I am Wanda Maximoff's daughter" I confessed all of a sudden as those words echo in my head.

And now it all begins...
