Isabel
"I can't see anything. It's all just trees and dirt" Peter complains as we both grudgingly drive through trees. "and there is no roads here either." He adds as I roll my eyes carefully dodging all the big rocks on our way.
"Well there is no road because no one is suppose to be here" I explain as Peter furrows his eyebrows. "Wanda isn't blending in with civilization by using sunglasses and a hat" I sassed as I pull to the side and sighing in frustration.
"Maybe we took a wrong turn?" Peter suggested in high spirits and I redirected my glare his direction. "Wrong turn? Peter. There are no turns here." I scoffed angrily as Peter pouted.
"I just know she's here. I can feel it. Don't you?" I ask him speaking to him a little softer now.
"No" He replied in sincerity as I roll my eyes irritably. "So your Peter tingle is malfunctioning?" I challenged crossing my arms looking at him as he gasps in return.
"My sense is impeccable." He argues challenging me with a glare of his own.
"Obviously not. How can you possible not feel that?" I ask him in disbelief as he eyes me like I grew two heads.
"All I'm sensing right now are wild animals. 9 birds on the tree right above our car. Maybe 2 dears one mile from here. And about half a dozens rabbits in a 500 feet radius. Oh and I think lizards, one of which is climbing our back trunk right now" He observes as he stills his body, becoming aware of his surroundings.
"Ok fine. Your Peter tingle is working. So why can't you use it to find Wanda?" I challenged rolling my eyes again.
"Can't you just feel that energy? It is overpowering. Like gravity is pulling you towards it" I explain looking him almost pleadingly.
"I think the better question here should be why you feel it and I don't" He challenges leaning against his seat.
"I can sense when there are other people around and trust me when I say there is no one here" He assures me as I shook my head in disagreement.
"Peter. I'm telling you she's here. So get your ass out of the damn car and help me find her" I declare slamming my driver's door shut.
"Okay okay. Relax. I'll trust your instincts. But let me just say I think you're 95% wrong" He announces as I shrugged indifferently at his faith in me.
"That leaves me with a 5% chance to prove you wrong" I retorted with a sly smirk turning on my heel and walking away from him.
I just feel it. I know she's here somewhere and I'm gonna find her.
After walking around for almost close to an hour I huff irritably while taking a sit on a nearby rock.
"Where the hell are you?" I mumbled under my breath while fidgeting with my hands.
"Isa. Maybe we should go find a place to sleep tonight and try again tomorrow. We're both tired and its getting dark" Peter calls us as he sprints my way while I glare at him.
"What's the point of coming back? I'm obviously wrong. She's not here" I concluded shrugging my shoulders walking past him.
"Hey hey. Isa. Look I'm sorry. I shouldn't have disregarded you earlier. If you think she's here. We will look harder. First thing in the morning" He encourage catching up to me.
"No you're right. Maybe what I felt were just nerves" I tell him as he nods his head with a sad smile.
"If you say so" He says patting my back in comfort as I sigh yet again. "It's okay Isa. We will find her" Peter mumbles softly as I nod while walked in sync back to our car.
And then when I left it. Before I could even register what I was happening my body was already moving by shoving Peter out of the way. "Watch out" I found myself yelling as he falls on his side and I am forced back against a tree by unimaginable power.
I wince in pain as the tree branches dug into my skin. Peter was up on his feet in less than a second ready to do whatever was necessary against our attacker.
"Now why would two kids be looking for me?" An older girl with copper hair asked as she gracefully moved her hands in front of her in a threatening manner.
"Wanda. Wanda" Peter called out to her desperately as I began gasping for air feeling my lungs burning.
"How do you my name?" Wanda barked angrily. I could barely see her silhouette through my blurry vision.
"Just let her go. You're killing her" Peter pleaded moving closer to her as she pushed her back with her powers.
"Don't move" Wanda commanded as Peter put his hands up. "Ok. Ok. Just please let her go" He begged again as my eyes began to get droopy.
I felt the agonizing weight being lifted off of me as I drop to the ground. I coughed loudly as I leaned against a tree trunk.
"Speak or I'll kill you both" Wanda demanded glaring Peter.
Even though meeting Wanda has been highly unpleasant and life threatening. At least I could say that my 5% chance really did prove Peter wrong and my bruised ego is very content at that. I was freaking right. I knew it. Ha ha ha.
