'Sorry for what?' a voice asked.

That voice felt familiar.

Scarlett, the owner of the voice, hugged Marinette from behind. The latter did not resist and broke down.

'Shh...everything's alright.'

'No, it isn't! I am at fault. I nearly got you killed in Stockholm!' Marinette said.

'It wasn't your fault, Mari.' Scarlett said.

Marinette did not answer. Her heart was shattering with every tear falling on the petal of the blood-red rose.

'Look at me, Mari, just look at me.' Scarlett said. Marinette opened her tear-filled eyes and looked up at her. And she hugged her tightly, afraid that she would crumble into dust a few seconds later.

Scarlett whispered, 'I'm sorry for being angry with you. It's my fault.'

'No, it wasn't! It's all my fault, I should've known they wouldn't listen to me-' Marinette said but got shut up.

Scarlett shut her up with a kiss. And Marinette kissed her back. What felt like a few moments felt like hours.

It was her first kiss.

To both of them, it felt amazing. To add to that, there were sparks.

But sadly, humans have lungs and they need to breathe so they pulled off and just looked into each other's eyes.

Blue eyes met doe brown ones. Marinette then looked away for a bit but Scarlett gently moved her head to face her.

'You aren't at fault. I shouldn't have been angry at you for that.' Scarlett said.

Marinette hugged her and whispered, 'I'm glad you are not dead.'

'I love you.' Scarlett said.

'I love you too. I love you like a love song.' Marinette whispered back.

They both hugged each other in a tight embrace. Marinette looked up and gave Scarlett a peck on the cheek.

'Want to stay over? It's late.' Marinette said.

'Why won't I do that to just see your face everyday?' Scarlett asked.

Marinette blushed furiously.
