"Fee-Fee?"
"No."
"Cat?"
"No."
"Pongo?"
"Erik, that is a dogs name!"
"Spot?"
"Do you see a spot on her?" I asked as I held the kitten close to his face.
Nadir had given us a kitten and she would be staying with Erik.
He shook his head, "Fuzzy?" He suggested as he sat down in a chair.
I raised my eyebrow, "Really? Fuzzy?" I asked as I crossed my legs and leaned back in my chair.
"Yes. Fuzzy is a great name." He declared as he stood and walked to the refrigerator.
"It would be if she was fuzzy!" I said as I rubbed my fingers over her soft hair.
"Christine, I'm no good with names." He sighed as he pulled out the milk jug.
"It's because you aren't trying, Love." I said as I placed the kitten on the floor. She immediately ran over to the bowl of milk that Erik had placed for her.
"Angel?"
"Yes?" I asked him as I looked up at him.
He smiled and shook his head. "Maybe Angel should be the name of the kitten?"
I shrugged, "I don't know. It's cute, but you call me Angel a lot." I really liked it when he did too.
"Aria?" I suggested as I looked down at the kitten, she was purring as she drunk her milk. I clapped my hands, trying to gain her attention. "Come here Aria. Come here little one." I smiled and sat down next to her on the floor. She didn't even look up at me!
"Little One?" Erik mumbled as he sat down on the floor, leaning back against the refrigerator. "That's it!" He smiled as he looked at me. "That's the one!"
I looked at him strangely, "What's the one?" I asked as I reached out to pet the kitty. "Little One?"
He smiled and nodded his head. "Yes! I love the name."
I sighed, "Erik, Little One would be too confusing for her."
"I mean Ayesha." He told me with a smile. "It means 'Little One' in Persian."
"That's perfect!! We need to get her a collar and a bowl with her name on it. Oh, also some kitten food and some treats."
"We will, Christine."
I stayed there for a few hours more and then left for home.
