First door on the right. That's where I needed to be. I only hoped that I would find it.
Wrong!
My only hope was that somehow this man could find it in his heart to return me back home where I belong.
"This is where you belong Christine, this is where you've always belonged." I voiced in the doorway said.
I must have found my way down to the music room and stared talking to myself.
"This is not where I belong, Sir."
"Oh, but it is Christine. Come inside this is where we will be spending a great deal of our time together, training your voice."
"Training my voice?" I questioned
He only nodded in return
"I do not sing! I am terrible at singing."
"That is simply nonsense Christine, you do sing, wonderfully might I add." Was all that he said. He then turned around and walked into the room. "Follow me, Christine"
Not having a choice, I followed and came face to face with a beautiful piano.
The man sat down in the bench and point to a spot in front of him. "Stand right there, Christine"
I walked over to where he pointed to and stood at the curve of the piano.
"Now sing."
"No"
"Why not, Christine?"
"I do not wish to"
"Well, I wish you to"
That's when I finally lost it. I ran to a corner and curled up into a ball and started to cry. I didn't care that he saw me.
"I don't want to sing" that was all I was able to say, I kept repeating it.
I felt him hug me.
"It's alright Christine, I will never make you do anything that you wouldn't want to do."
His voice was the last thing I heard before I fell into a deep dark sleep.
