Come on, wake up, child". The Servant called as she rushed into the nursery, opening the
curtain to let in the morning sunshine.
Lucina sat up on her bed, her small hands rubbing her tired eyes.

"What's happening?". Lucina asked. She had a nervous feeling in her stomach. Two more
servants suddenly barged in for the nursery entrance and gathered around the little girl.

"You are going to meet your father today; you must prepare to make you look presentable". Said
the head servant.

Lucina's eyes widen at the news. "I will meet my father". Lucina said in a
Nervous voice.

The Servant briefly stopped what she was doing and rolled her eyes at Lucina's statement. Most
servants thought Lucina was a burden for the past three caring for the girl. Finally, it was the day
the girl's fate decided to be sent to the Abbey or taken to her father's estate.

"Yes, it is". The Servant said as she faked a smile, finally released from the burden of taking
care of Lucina, the bastard child.
They bathed Lucina and put her in a clean Linen chemise.

The younger Servant went into the
wardrobe to find the finest outfit for the little girl to wear, but none of her clothes was new up to
the latest styles. Most of Lucina's clothes she wore were hand me downs of Maximilian and
Rosetta. Still, none of the dresses fit Lucina's tiny frame.

They dressed her into a light purple sleeveless kirtle with flower embroidery at the hem of the
skirt; the Servant brushed her dark hair into two plaits decorated with red ribbons.

"It's not the best outfit in the world, but it's the only fanciest dress that could fit her small body".

The servants looked down at Lucina's outfit, trying to think of something to make her outfit more
put together. One of the servants ran into the nursery carrying a dark blue velvet hood.

"I found lady Maximilian's old hood. It will do for now" the Servant placed it on Lucina's petite
shoulders.

"There we go, that's Good Enough".
Lucina picked up her favourite stuffed black Horse, and a pouch inside was a few of her famous
rocks, Left the nursery. She didn't know much about her father.
Rosetta or some of
the Servants said that he was the commander of the now-famous Remdragon Knights. She imagined
what her father would be like. She heard stories about a strong and brave knight fighting
against the ferocious red Dragon in the Lexos mountains.

The little girl clutched onto her stuffed Horse tightly while walking down the hallways of Croix
Castle. "At least you are always by my side". Lucina thought to herself, her stuffed Horse she
named Talon barely left her side. It was the only sentimental That protected her from the cruel
world.

While running up the castle hallway, she stopped in when she recognised the voice of her
grandfathers screaming In one of the rooms. Lucina peeked behind the door in Curiosity.

"H-he L-left immediately the day after the T-the W-wedding night".

Maximilian cried out; The
duke's expression turned wrath, his face Wrinkled, his eyes looked like the rage of fire.

"How dare you talk back to you, Insolent fool." The duke's cane struck Maxi across the head like
a clash of thunder.

Lucina took a step back and saw her mother was on her hands and knees. Her sobbing echoed
in the room. Maxi turned her head to see her daughter hiding behind the drawing-room door, her
face in awe of what happened. Maxi's snow-like eyes filled with longing.

All she wanted was to
have her precious child in her arms.

"Don't even think about talking back to them in that pathetic voice. For the sake of our family,
you better not get divorced by a Commoner knight; I won't let the family become a laughing
stock if you can't stop the divorce; you and your bastard daughter will pay with your lives. "The
duke of Croix warned, his cold eyes staring like piercing daggers.
