A Great knight

an: sorry for waiting so long to update but ive been busy lately and not the most creative writer in the world it has taken my about a week to finish this chapter, updates might be slow but thank you so much for all the reads.

Lucina was fast asleep near her mother, and her tiny body curled up on the comfortable velvet-like seat as the bumpy Carriage rocked her into a deeper sleep. She was exhausted from her meltdown of not wanting to leave the embrace of Rosetta's warm arms, terrified of her fathers. The first impression of Riftans giant and callous appearance shivered down Her small spine.

She had a lot of questions playing in her head. Where am I going? Is my father going to be as cruel as my lord grandfather? Will he hurt my mummy?.

Lucina's thoughts were startled as her eyes opened wide as she heard a thud coming up from the Carriage.  "There has been an ogre sighting captain". One of the knights called from outside.

"Stay inside the carriage and don't come out at any cost".  Lucina heard her father's voice as he left the Carriage to gather around his fellow knights to take out the ogres attack.

The little girl stood up And observed what was happening. She saw her mother crouching down on her hands and knees. Maxi's porcelain face filled with fear, her body trembling like vibrating sound waves.

Lucina peeped at the carriage window to better view what was happening outside. The Remdragon knights stood in formation, Riftan standing in front with his knights from three giant ogres, their metal armour covered in blood.

A face of a hideous ogre overcame the heroic scene, and a shrill left Lucina's lips. Its piercing red eyes and dirty green complexion staring back at the window were Looking at Lucina as its next meal.

The Carriage started to shake violently by the strength of the ogre. "Mummy". Lucina screamed as she fell out of the Carriage.

Maxi screamed in Desperation. She tried to catch her daughter but failed. Maximilian tumbled out of the Carriage. She was landing on her arms next to the minor child.

Maxi stood up on her knees. She realised that she was outside the Carriage and panicked that Rifton told her and Lucina to stay inside at all cost, no matter what.

"Madam, get yourself and Lucina back inside the carriage before any more harm reaches both of you". A young wizard with white hair defended the young mother and child as another ogre charged them.

"I D-didn't M-mean to come out, The C-carriage W-was S-shaking, I tried to S-save my C-child".

"Take your daughter and go to the carriage that has a protection spell upon it". The Wizard ordered.

"Ruth, where is that basted wizard".

The Wizard named Ruth heard his name be called by Riftan and ran to use his magic to help eradicate the terrifying ogres.

Maxi quickly picked up Her daughter, trying her best to find the Carriage as Ruth ordered them to do until Riftan and the Remdragon knights could eradicate the ogres.

Maximilian stopped in her tracks as she heard Lucina crying loudly in her arms; the little girl's cries of fear echoed in the forest. She went on her knees and caressed her daughter close to her chest, trying to calm Lucina down as best she could; Maxi had no idea how to calm down a screaming child.

" D-don't cry, M-mummy is H-here".

Maxi quickly turned her head to see a charging ogre towards her and Lucina. Maximilian  Snow White-eyes opened in terror; her tears fell on her face as she continued to Caress her scared little child in her arms.
