"Hey, Dream?"
"What?" Dream snaps, fed up and tired of the kid's nonstop talking.
"I want you to burn my discs." Tommy says easily, as if he was talking about a random piece of paper and not things he's started multiple wars over and gotten exiled for.
"Why should I?" Dream asks, slightly confused, but very cautious. What was Tommy's plan here? How does this profit for him?
"Because I don't care. You have no power over me if I don't care about them, and I know that now." Tommy said, a look of disappointment flashes across his face, before replacing it with a humored smirk. "Also because I don't have a flint and steel and need to burn my compass."
"Wha- burn your compass? Tommy, what happened?" Dream asks, utterly confused. "You happened. Tubbo happened. Wilbur happened. Life happened." Tommy said, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Why would I stay with a country that has done nothing for me, only against me. First my childhood, then some stupid discs, then my brother, then my life and everything in it. One after another, all of it, gone. Everything was my fault, too. 'Oh, we're going to war? Tommy's fault.' 'Oh, we're gettin' exiled? Tommy's fault.' Why should I live in or protect or care about a country that never did anything for me?" Tommy said, face void of emotion, voice full of it.
Cautiously, Dream pulled out a flint and steel and had Tommy throw his compass in first before pushing him away to grab the discs. Discs in hand, Dream turned back to the flickering flames, shifting his gaze ever so slightly to watch Tommy's face before tossing the discs in, one at a time. To say Dream was surprised at the fact Tommy smirked when the discs were in the fire, would be an overstatement. He was shocked, sure, but what Tommy said held truth. L'manberg never did anything for him, only took from him.
After a few beats of silence, Tommy clasped his hands together and smiled. "Well, now that that's out of the way, we can get down to business. Actually, no, not yet. For this plan to succeed, there is someone else we need."
*Timeskip*
Before Dream knew it, the duo was on their way to one of the most dangerous people on the sever's house.
After they arrived, Tommy told Techno they needed to talk. Techno was curious, of course, and ushered them into his seating room. Who was this new person? He looked similar to Tommy, but completely void of emotion. He's quiet and reserved, mature and wise.
When the small group was sat on a couch, Tommy stood up. Walking to the center of the room, he smirked.
"Gentlemen, you two are well known for being some of the scariest people on the SMP. I want to enlist your help, and before you complain, Techno, it's not to fight for a government. If anything," he paused for a beat before continuing, "it's the exact opposite."
Both Techno and Dream at this point had somewhat caught on to what Tommy is saying and Techno decided to speak up. "So you wanna.." he let himself trail off.
"Exactly." Tommy smiled before chuckling darkly, which to be honest, scared both Techno and Dream a little.
"I wanna be the next Wilbur."
Tommy cackled. He full on cackled at the pair's shocked faces. "It was never meant to be, boys. Also, Technoblade, I never wanted to be a hero. I wanna be the bad guy. So come on, let's be the bad guys, and fulfill Wilbur's dreams once and for all."
