The day that he called me, was probably one of my happiest days. I could talk on the phone with him for hours.

They way that he carefully worded things, and the compliments he'd always give me showed he cared.

Thank God that I was put into school when I had just turned five. My birthday was on August 22nd, and school always started around that time, which means that I graduated early, at 17. Since I've already graduated, I haven't really been doing anything besides sitting at home.

I was laying upside down on the couch, watching some T.V. when I heard the home phone ring.

I got up, and walked to the kitchen to where it was mounted on the wall, and attached to the box with the spiral cord.

"Hello?" I spoke into it.

"Hello." the voice on the other line said.

"Hello." I said again.

"Hello Mrs. Tegan." he said. Now I knew who it was. Calling each other Mr. and Mrs. was kinda our thing, I guess.

"Hello, Mr. River." I said again.

"Hello beautiful ." he said, I lightly laughed.

"Hello." I told him.

"Hi." he said.

"So, River, what's up?" I asked trying to make conversation.

"I just wanted to call you, and maybe ask you something." he said shyly.

"Go ahead." I said.

"I was, um, wondering if you, um, maybe wanted to meet up somewhere, sometime." he said, nervously.

"Yeah, sure." I said casually. "When?"

"Um, how about tomorrow? Say, around 3 at the corner of Mercies, and Lakee?" he said.

"Okay, that's fine. So tomorrow?" I said.

"Yes ma'am." he confirmed.

"Okay well I'll see you then." I said and hung up.

If there's one thing I know about guys, its to keep them interested. Don't ever try to suck up to them, it's kinda like playing hard to get. That's why I hung up before he said anything.

A lot of my past boyfriends were, as you can say, "Players." They usually just got bored with me and left.

I had a different feeling about River though. Not like the ones from my past, when they wouldn't call, when they'd ignore me when we'd hang out. With River, he's already gave me more attention then those other guys ever did.

ugh I feel like this chapter was another one that sucked.

I try not to put clichés in my stories to make them original but I feel like this one had a bunch of them, sorry guys.

and the fact that it was short kinda made it worse ugh I'm so sorry guys I'm trying to update both stories everyday for you guys but that means I kinda rush and they end up short.
