Thunder (TW: gunshots)
BOOM! I covered my ears. The sounds of gunshots thundered all around me. I ran. No thinking, no planning, just doing. My heart screamed in my chest to stop but I couldn't. I had to go. I have to get out of here. In front of me was the door. Light tempted its fingers under it. I was so close. My hand wrapped around the knob and turned. Nothing.
"Where are they?" a gravelly voice bellowed.
"Over here!" another voice shouted.
No, no no no no. I tugged as hard as I could but the metal slab would not yield. The storm of stomps was getting closer and closer. My hands started to shake. (TBC)
Your Pet dragon is misbehaving
"Down Georgie, down! No- stop eating the couch! Georgie please don't burn the ham!" I scolded as I ran after Georgie. His wings knocked over all the china off the shelves. I scrambled trying to stop as many porcelain plates from splintering on the hardwood floor. I chased Georgie into the kitchen dropping the plates onto the counter as I dashed. (TBC)
The shadows on your wall are speaking. Write about the conversation that follows
"Hey, Mark. Look at her. Why is she crying?"
"I'm not sure. Maybe she had a bad day?"
"Ya... probably. What do you think made it bad?"
"I mean, based on how she's clutching that frame, my guess is that her friends dropped."
"Oh the poor thing... that must be tough..."
*both start trying to make silly face* (TBC)
