The office room was awfully quiet, two young men sitting on either side of the table- one staring at the other and the other watching his fiddled fingers on the lap. Wooden shelves hung on the walls, surrounding them and old scrolls were slid in to fit together.
"You have to do something before the council find out." Said the person in a black suit, blond hair slicked back. He was Choi San by name, a member of the council though he was too young to be part of it.
"If you know about it, the council already know." Hyunjin replied, almost in a whisper. He was nervous and scared of what would come, for him and Chan.
"Hyunjin, You are in danger." San stressed what he actually wanted to say. "You are in danger as well as the demon."
"He has a name and that is Chan."
"Yes, Chan." The council member sighed. On the wall behind him was a banner, black ink forming words.
'Sed Lex Dura Lex.'
If loving someone is a punishable according to the said law they all were sinners. Hyunjin was never really fond of the law, corrupted rules formed by the adults.
"You know it's impossible for you to love a demon. It's against the rules and it has never happened."
"He is not a harm to anyone." Hyunjin tried to prove his side of the question yet knowing it was nothing under the opinion of the majority.
"You might be right but how is the rest of our people going to believe it. They will kill Chan and you too. You friend will get punished too for helping."
He didn't regret loving Chan but was regretting dragging Jisung and Minho to his mess.
"What should I do?"
"Go away. Don't stay here in Seoul. The law is too unfair for you."
