The Other Family

The Quinjet flew towards an island. I could tell Amora was excited for us to meet her adopted family. I can't believe my sister was raised by...Island people?

The Quinjet landed on the island. Two people were waiting for us to get off the ship. We all walked off the jet. Amora ran towards the two people. One of them was a woman and the other was a boy who looked 3 years older than me. Damn, he was buff.

"Dadi!" Amora shouted. The woman hugged Amora.

"Oh, my dear Amora. It is so good to see you again", The women said. "You brought your family. It is good to meet you all".

"Dadi, this is my sister, Leya", Amora said as she held my arm.

"You have a sister. You are very pretty",The woman said.

"Thank you, Ma'am", I said.

"Oh, none of that. You may call me Dadi", The women said. She was very nice and very beautiful. "And this here is my son, Amora's brother, Jacob. You're about the same age, yeah?"

"Leya is 10 months older than Jacob",Amora says. I was shocked. He looked much older. I mean, he was hot and tall and...hot.

"I think you two will be good friends",Dadi said. I hope so. He looks cute, but he doesn't seem like the friendly type. But you don't judge a book by it's cover. "Now, where's your father?" Me and Amora looked at Loki. "That would be me", he said.

Dadi walked towards him. She slapped him in the face. Me and Amora laughed.

"How could you leave such sweet children like those two girls. Have you no heart? The universe gave you a gift and you just throw it away? No. You cherish it. You love them", Dadi said.

"I do love them which is why I gave them up", Loki said.

"No, you don't give up on the best things that ever happened to you. Who would've taken care of Leya?" Dadi asked. Dadi barely knew me and she already cared about me as if I was her granddaughter. I'm glad she was here for Amora.

"I did", Tony said. "Me and Pepper took care of Leya".

"Thank you", Dadi said as she smiled sweetly at Tony. "You all must be hungry after your long journey. Come, let's eat".

We all ate in a tent. I was seated next to Amora and Jacob. Dadi talked about the village which they named Abhyaarany which meant Sanctuary in Hindi.

As we were eating, I would sometimes catch Jacob looking at me. Don't get me wrong, he's cute and all, but I still have feelings for Peter.

Two boys came into the tent. They walked pass me. They stopped and looked at me. "Well, well, well. Who's the cutie, here?" One of them asked.

"What's your name, hottie", The other one asked me.

"Boys, leave her alone", Dadi said.

"Oh, come on, Dadi. She's hot", One of the boys said.

"I got a boyfriend", I said.

"Where is he?" The other boy asked. I didn't say anything. I looked at Loki. I could tell he was thinking of murdering these boys.

"Dadi said leave her alone", Jacob said.

The boys walked out of the tent. After we all ate, I sat on a large stone and looked out at the ocean.

Jacob sat next to me. "I'm sorry. Kal and Joe, they're idiots", he said. That, I figured.

Jacob looked at my book. "You read Twilight?" He asked. I nodded. "Me too".

"Really? No way!" I said.

"I've read them all", Jacob said.

"I'm only on the last one", I said. I looked at my book.

"If you don't mind me asking, where is your boyfriend?" Jacob asked.

"It was my fault. I got scared and I ran away. I tried to call or text to apologize, but...we haven't spoken to each other in a while. I'm not sure if he's ever coming back", I said. "I guess it's like the book, my Edward...left".

"Well...I wouldn't leave you", Jacob said. I looked at him, not knowing what to say. But I didn't have to say anything because Amora walked towards us and said, "Leya, it's time to go".

I stood up and followed her to the jet. I looked back at Jacob. I have feelings for Peter, but none of that will matter if he's never coming back.

I'm clinging onto hope that he's coming back. I have to. I love him.
