A War of Worlds

Chapter One of Book One

It was millions of years ago. An untold disease that told that the all the upperclass knew they had to do something. So they told the youngest man in the office to take a ship and get everybody to a safer world before they all catch the disease and die. So the young man went around the world to pick-up everybody, but in a panic a few was left behind. Now in the year 30XX, the people live in a planet where it was very much like Earth, except it wasn't. Here, Earth was called Xenzin.

Algebra Waters, a girl with freckles but pretty long, curly red hair and beautiful green eyes. Sitting down with one hand holding a book which had her nose in it, and the other hand twirling her locket that holds a picture of her mother and sister. Her sister, Chlorine, was still barely one month in her mother's stomach when they were moving to the new world. For that, their mother is the only one who knows how their father got left behind. The two girls would never dare ask her how it happened though, because last time they did, the mother went to having a smiling face to hot, puffy sobbing face.

“Knock, knock, knock.” went somebody behind the door.

“Come in!'' shouted Algebra.

The door swung open to show one boy and one girl.

“Hey! How ya doing?” Census and Ion said.

Census Lochart, a boy with short curly brown hair and hazel eyes. Wearing his favorite red sunglasses shading his eyes from the bright sun seeping through the window. Ion C. Bond, a girl with beautiful rare purple eyes that made her short, straight blond hair look brighter while wearing a strawberry shaped clip holding her side bangs away from her face. Ion was the type of girl who always wore earrings and a charm bracelet holding only two items, which were a heart and a dog. She had an accent that made her even more beautiful. They were both one of Algebra's best friends.

“I'm doing good. How 'bout-” Algebra got caught off.

The door to Algebra's bedroom slammed open and in came Selk, a boy next door who Algebra first met in second grade and instantly became best friends with. Selk C. Ius, a boy with kind of long, straight, black hair and dark brown eyes. He was pretty annoying when he acted like a child considering that he was really the oldest of the four.

“What do you want this time? And how many times did I tell you to knock!?” said Algebra.

“You have never ever told me to knock!” Selk said trying to defend himself.

“Yes I have! I even wrote it down and taped it to the door!” Algebra retorted back, pointing to the paper that was now laying on the floor

“Well how would I know!? I can't read!” Selk said.

“Yeah, that so explains why you always get straight As.” Census muttered under his breath.

“Dude, not helping.”Selk said, “Anyways, you know how my dad works in the army and stuff? Well, he told me about this old planet called Earth. Actually, he didn't tell me, but I overheard it.”

“Seriously, how do you get better grades than me. You don't even know what Earth is?!” Ion said shaking her head.

“Wait you guys know? How come I don't?” Selk asked.

“We know because our teacher told us about it two years ago in 5th grade. It's a good thing we're learning it this year again or you'd be failing science and social studies.” Algebra said.

A jingle went into the air. It was Ava, Algebra's dog, and her collar. Ava was dragging it on the ground.

“Awww. Ava, you got it off again?” Algebra whined, taking the collar and putting it back on the dog.
