"Hey wait, give me that,"
Tony said, pointing to the file that the archer Clint Barton was holding. He closed the file and handed it to Tony, who flipped to the penultimate page and began read out lout :
"y/n, yelena, peter, wanda, pietro, and katherine."
Thor stretched out his right arm and indicated that he was reading the file too let's see, tony understood this gesture and passed it on.
"These are just potential agent names operating against S.H.I.E.L.D."
Clint interrupted.
Thor begins to read the file while Steve Rogers, the Captain places another box of files on the table and opens it, he hands out more files of information to Clint and Tony, another he puts besides Bruce who is busy with the computer.
"The youngest is 16 and the oldest is 20"
Thor determined after a few minutes.
"They're just potential enemies,"
Clint said again.
Steve looks at the file Thor is still holding and turns to Tony who is already looking at Steve.
"They're kids,"
Steve said with a worried look.
"We should keep looking, like Barton said, they are potential enemies,"
Tony replies.
Several hours pass, but the avengers found nothing that aroused their interest as much as the 6 names.
"And did you find anything?"
Natasha asked as she joins the avengers,
"Romanoff, you finally here too?"
Tony said without taking his eyes off the file he was Holding
"Well there's a lot of stuff to do Tony so you got anything?"
She joins Clint and Steve at the table and takes a file from one of the boxes
"Nothing, well, except 6 potential enemies, people who might be operating against SHIELD"
Rogers replied, setting down the file he was holding to pick up another
"y/n, yelena, peter, wanda, pietro and katherine"
steve read to nat.
Natasha's facial expression, which was relaxed and serene two seconds ago, is shocked and a little unsettled, Steve also notices:
"Hey Nat, what's going on".
"I know two of them"
Bruce, who has been staring at the computer for the whole hours, turns around in shock, and Tony, who was walking through the room with his peanuts and a file, draws his attention to Natasha and goes to the table where everyone is sitting:
"What do you mean Romanoff?"
asked Tony
"Yelena and y/n, they were in the red room, both are trained widows, but Yelena..she uhm"
Nat stops herself, she takes a deep breath
"Yelena is my sister"
The room goes very quiet, everyone looks at Natasha and waits for her to continue talking.
"Widows kill widows?"
Steve interrupts the silence
"But it can't be the Red Room, as far as we know there are two boys in the group and the Red Room trains female agents, spies...."
Denies Bruce.
"It's Hydra," Nat replied
Everyone turns and looks at each other, shocked, confused.
"What makes you so sure?"
Steve asks very skeptically
"Y/n she was the youngest in the red room but she was a natural, top notch fighter really, she had a lot of potential, hard to imagine how she would develop when she gets older... Dreykov the head of the red room, well he really didn't want to give her away for anything, but as far as I know Hydra bought her, she was worth 150 million dollars when she was 11 years old."
Tony takes a deep breath:
"wait you're telling me children are being sold?"
Nat starts to shake his head:
"Not exactly, she was special, she had something, something.. I can't describe it, she wasn't a normal widow, but I never found out what it was"
Nat explained.
