"Here are the files and plans you wanted,"

Bucky said, and handed the paperwork to Yelena, who just took them, turned around, and was about to walk away without another word

"Seriously? Is that your punishment? Ignoring me?"

He didn't yell at her, but his voice was louder than usual, serious and a little desperate, Yelena turns around quickly, all the files almost falling out of her hand because of the fast movement.

"I hope you're not serious... I punish you? I leave that to y/n.. to be honest I have to pull myself together not to kill you"
Yelena said angrily.

"Do you think I wanted that? Or did I suspect something like this would happen?"

This time bucky screamed, he didn't care if anyone noticed, but he wasn't screaming out of anger, it was desperation and guilt that it all happened like this.

"What exactly? That the government got
y/n? Or that maybe she's being tortured right now as we speak?"

She takes a few steps towards him

"Or that she'll be killed if she's not already dead? Oh, or that the Avengers didn't even care about y/n and just handed her over to the government?"
Yelena asked furiously.

"Do you think I wanted that?"

asks bucky, even though he knows Yelena probably doesn't care, they're like sisters after all, and she knows how much y/n has done for her and everyone else.

"I don't care what you want, or how you feel, or whatever. Just leave me and the others alone, we don't need your help, and we don't want it... You can't make it up or help us or somehow make it better it's too late...you decided to give up everything you had, the only person who always stood behind you 100% and you throw it all away...it's too late man... Really"

Yelena explains, she turns around again and quickly walks away, because a few more minutes and it would all get pretty nasty.

A few hours later

"You're definitely not going to do it alone"

everyone looks at peter confused and a bit shocked, he was actually always calmand rather quite, did everything that was asked for, there was never a discussion, but this time it's different. When Yelena explained that she was going to get y/n out on her own, no one thought it was a really good idea, but as Pierce said, Yelena is now the leader and the leader should never be contradicted.

now wanda also contradicts, yelena looks at the two a little angry and shocked, it was already clear to her that she wasn't as respected as y/n but that they didn't let her say anything, she wouldn't have thought that.
