Paper Gardens

She tends to her paper garden

sprinkles the white soil with ink

She grows anything that she can imagine

Fertile crops from whatever she thinks

How she loves this paper garden

She grows amber sunsets

She grows crimson love with the taste of regret

She grows azure Zephyrs

that would make Monet weep

She grows her hopes and dreams

forever for her to keep

She grows herself

She grows me

She grows you

She grows them happy

and sometimes blue

She grows fantasy

and sometimes even truth

How she loves her paper garden

Forever it's a keeper

the eternal warden

How she loves this paper garden
