Jaxon's POV

As Tee and I were sitting in her office going over contracts, she received a phone call on her cell phone. Immediately Tee's demeanor changed. Her eyes held hurt, disbelief and anger. I've seen this look before, but I wanted to be sure of what was going on. When she hung up the phone, I could tell she was trying to hold back her tears. She told me she had to go take care of something. I offered to drive her, but she said she had to check this out on her own. I knew it didn't involve AJ by what she said. She grabbed her purse and hurried out of the office. I called Darah and told her what happened. Darah and I waited for about thirty minutes before we tried calling her. Every time we called, the phone would ring several times before going to voicemail.

It had been a few hours and we still hadn't been able to reach Tee. That's when I became very worried. I've seen that same look on Tee a few times and it was always during a time when Andre wasn't being the man she wanted and needed. Because of his stupidity, I was able to show Tee how a man that really loves her should treat her. We are friends, but I'm still in love with her. My love for her is what has prevented me from having a serious relationship with another woman. I know that if Tee ever needs me, I'll be there for her and that wouldn't be fair to the woman in my life. If Tee was to leave Andre right now and show up on my doorstep, I'm ready and willing to take her. We didn't end on bad terms. We were both so focused on our careers that we missed out on the years of love we could have shared. This is something that both of us recognized and admitted.

Right before we left the office, Darah called LaShae to see if she'd spoken with Tee. When she said she hadn't, Darah told her what happened. As we were walking towards our cars, Darah got a phone call from Tee. Only it wasn't Tee. It was Andre calling to let her know that Tee had been in a car accident and was in surgery. Darah started crying and asked which hospital Tee was located. She was shaking. I could barely understand what she was saying. I took her hand and guided her to my car. We had to go check on Tee but Darah wasn't in a position to drive. When I got on the freeway, Darah had calmed down enough to call Isaac to let him know what happened. She asked him to call Sean and LaShae because she wouldn't be able to repeat it.

"Jaxon, I can't lose my friend! I just can't!"

I tried my best to console her, but I was coming unglued myself. I spoke words of encouragement for the both of us. I don't want to lose Tee. She's my soulmate.

We had finally arrived at the hospital. Tee's parents were there as well as Andre's sister. Andre was pacing around the waiting room like a mad man. Mr. Layton told us that an eighteen wheeler hit Tee's car on the driver's side. The car flipped and landed on its top. Darah lost all her strength. I had to catch her before she hit the floor.

Just as I got Darah settled in a seat, LaShae ran into the waiting room. When she spotted Darah, she ran to where we were seated. I told LaShae exactly what Mr. Layton had just told me and Darah about how the accident happened. Thank goodness LaShae was already sitting. I was sitting in between Tee's best friends. They were trying their best to hang on. Heck I wasn't sure that I was in any shape to help them.

Andre looked at me and I gave him a go to hell look. I may not know every detail of the call that Tee received, but I do know that the news shattered her to pieces. The look on her face made me want to grab her and shelter her from what she was running towards.

Andre walked to the nurse's station demanding an update. Finally, a doctor came out and told us what had happened. It was a relief to know that the twins survived and were doing well, but Tee was in critical condition. When the doctor said that the next twenty four to forty eight hours were going to be the most critical, I couldn't take it anymore. I ran out of the hospital. I had to get as far away from Andre as possible because I was ready to make him tell the truth of what happened in front of everyone. I just know that he's the reason Tee is in this predicament.

When I got home, I called my family and told them about Tee. My mom and sister were crying hysterically. I just held the phone until they were somewhat calm. I confessed to them that I was still in love with Tee. I yearned to be more than just friends, but I'd never ever jeopardize our friendship by overstepping my boundaries. My mom told me that she knew that Tee and I still loved one another. She could tell by the way Tee looked when she found out about the marriage that would have turned out to be a train wreck. I'm going to figure out what made Tee so upset today, and when I do, I'm going after Andre's sorry ass. All Tee wanted from him was to be his one and only.

After hanging up the phone with my mom and sister, I prayed to God for Tee to make it through. I wanted to pray that he would give Tee back to me, but this would be wrong of me. Even though I didn't pray for it, He knows my thoughts and heart and He knows that I would love Tahleea the way she deserved.

A week had passed and Tee was still in a medically induced coma. It made me happy to see that the twins were thriving and healthy. After Andre had Tee put in a private room, he made sure she had twenty four hour care. He would also take the babies in the room so they could cuddle with their mother. That's the least he could do since he's the reason the accident happened. If she hadn't gone looking for him, she wouldn't have been near the accident.

I'd gone a week without seeing my friend, so I decided to visit. I walked in her room and surprisingly no one was there. Pulling a chair as close to her side as I could, she just lay in bed almost lifeless. I put her hand in mine and kissed the back of her hand. Not able to control my emotions, I started crying and praying.

Tee knows that I love her and would do anything for her. As I was sitting by her side, Andre walked into the room. I knew he was there but didn't acknowledge him. He walked to the other side of the bed and cleared his throat. My blood started to boil. I had to let this sorry excuse of a husband know that I know he's the reason Tee and the twins could have died.

"Tahleea got a phone call from someone the day of the accident. Whoever called her must have given her some disturbing information. She was so upset and on the verge of crying. I immediately thought something had happened to AJ, but when she refused to let me drive her to wherever she was going, I knew AJ was ok. Dre, whatever the person said on the other line tore Tahleea apart. There was hurt, disbelief and anger." I stood up and looked at him square in his face. "I've seen her look like that a few times and it was only when you had chosen Macy over her."

Guilt flashed across his face so fast. If I hadn't been staring at him, I would have missed it.

"I know you are Tahleea's friend, ex boyfriend or whatever you want to call yourself, but don't you ever question me concerning my wife again. And when she's awake, I'd appreciate it if you stay away."

"Why? Do you have something to hide from her? Are you scared that I know more than what you're willing to tell her parents and friends? That call was about you. She left looking for you and she found you."

I could tell I was getting under his skin. He started clapping.

"So Inspector Gadget, you think you know what happened huh? You don't know shit. It's best that you go ahead and leave before I put you out. If you think making up some kind of crazy story about me will put her back in your arms, you're crazy. She's my wife so whatever feelings you have for her needs to be forgotten for your sake. Plus I don't have time for your made up story. My energy will be spent helping my wife heal and taking care of our children. Is there anything else you feel you need to get off your chest before you leave?"

"Yes, matter of fact I do. First, you and I both know that my story is close to the truth of what happened that day. Second, I don't need to make up a story to put her back in my arms. You will do that without me saying a word."

He looked like he was going to lunge over the bed at me and I was ready. I was ready to beat this motherfucker's ass for the shit he's put Tee through. Before the scene escalated, Ma Layton walked in the room. Dre and I composed ourselves, not wanting her to see that it was about to be a WWF showdown in her daughter's room.

"Hey guys! How are you doing?" Ma Layton spoke.

We looked at one another before answering that we were ok. Ma Layton hugged us both and asked Dre if he'd go get the twins to bring them to the room. I told Ma Layton that I was leaving so they could have privacy with Tee and the babies. I hugged, kissed her on the cheek and left the room.
