Chapter 28

Dre's POV

I've been traveling a lot since I've started a men's clothing line. Sometimes I would take Macy with me. I knew I could do and use anything I wanted with her. Every now and then, I'd feel guilty about the things I'd do to her. Because of me, she'll never be able to experience motherhood. It's fucked up, but she was ok with taking my aggression.

Since Tee had found out about my infidelity, I'd been more careful with my hook ups with Macy. I know that someone in my circle or attached to my circle told Tee about me and Macy so I had to be careful. Things aren't like they used to be between Tee and I, but at least we would occasionally have sex and would talk more. She'd even started telling me she loved me and that made me feel so damn good. I was getting her back just like I've always done.

Today was just like any other day. I'd come back home from a business trip a day early. Tee and the trio were still out. I was trying to wait for her to come home, but it was getting late and I was tired. I took a shower and got ready for bed. She's probably hanging out with the ladies so I made plans to get up early to make breakfast. I missed my wife and children so much and was ready to spend time with them.

The next morning, I woke up to Tee lying on my chest. She was sleeping so peacefully and I didn't want to wake her. I slowly peeled her from my body and went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. When I was done, I walked back into the bedroom to the sounds of her sweet snores. My baby deserved a day of pampering.

I went downstairs to the kitchen to get breakfast started. I cooked turkey bacon, pancakes, eggs, and cut up some fresh fruit with cottage cheese. I loaded the serving board with the food I'd prepared and poured two glasses of orange juice. I knew Tee and the trio would be out for a while, so I used the time to run on the treadmill. I didn't have time to straighten my office before Tahlese was calling my name.

"Daddy are you busy?"

"Never too busy for my baby girl."

She ran up and jumped in my arms. This is something she's done ever since she could walk and I love it. It just shows me that even though she's a teenager, she still loves to be around her daddy. We sat around and watched Nickelodeon until Tee got home.

Tee walked in with the twins under her. I could tell they had something up their sleeve and put their mother in the middle. I guess I'll wait for her to tell me. After we finished eating the food we'd ordered, the twins went up the street to hang out with some of their friends, while me and Tee went to the theater room to watch a movie.

After we finally decided on a movie to watch, my phone rang so I ran upstairs to answer. It was Macy. She told me in her rush to leave the house, she forgot to take the toy. FUCK! Just as she told me about the toy, I remembered I didn't close the door to the patio. We rarely use that door to enter or exit so Tee will most likely notice it.

After I hung up the phone with Macy, I slowly walked back downstairs. I hoped that Tee hadn't noticed anything. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I looked around to see if she was still sitting on the couch. Damn she wasn't there. I started walking towards my office. That's when I saw her coming out of my office holding the toy in her hand. She had it wrapped in some paper that was on my desk. If there was any chance of me charming my way back into her heart completely, today's event just nailed the coffin to that ever happening.
