Jaxon's POV
The next day, Darah set up a birthday luncheon for Tee at the office so the employees could be a part of the celebration. I used that opportunity to let Syria meet my crew. Tee, being the sweet spirit that she is, made Syria feel like they had been friends for years.
After the luncheon was over, as usual, Tee was back to business. I took Syria to my office. She looked around in awe.
"Damn, Tee really takes care of her employees. This is a very nice office. I can see she has a decorative touch and very good taste."
She sat down on the leather couch as I sat behind my desk, starting up my computer.
"Seriously, it's her birthday weekend, and she's working?"
"Yes. Tee loves having fun, but she's about her business just as much. I won't be here long. Ok?"
Syria nodded her head.
"I'm going to call and check in on Alivia. Will I be disturbing you?"
"Not at all. I need to talk to my princess."
Syria called my parents to check on my baby girl as I started going through my emails. It wasn't long before she brought me the phone so I could talk to my baby girl. She was having so much fun with her grandparents. My sister had spent the day with her as well which made Alivia happy. My sister loves to spoil her.
After hanging up with my baby, I resumed going through my emails. Tee walked in. I could feel her presence without her saying a word. She walked over to the couch and sat beside Syria. They were having their own conversation while I responded back to emails and transferred our completed contracts to the efiles.
When I was done, I looked over at the two beautiful women sitting across from me. They were in a deep conversation. Not wanting to interrupt, I noticed what Tee had on. She dressed casual since she didn't have any meetings. She had on a pair of jeans with a button down shirt and low heels. Her hair had been pressed and hung past her shoulders. She was beautiful without trying.
When I looked at Syria, I saw similarities in her and Tee. I guess that's what drew me to Syria. I stood up and walked towards the couch sitting between the ladies. Tee looked at me with her beautiful smile.
She hugged me, "I'm so glad you guys were able to come. I can't wait for us to party all night tomorrow."
As I hugged her back, I took in the scent of her perfume. She had changed up, but it was still intoxicating.
"You know I wouldn't have missed the opportunity to party with you."
I noticed how Syria watched us as we interacted. Tee got up and said she was going home because she had promised her rugrats that she'd make some brownies for them. She never ceases to amaze me, making sure her family and friends are well taken care of.

It's the night of the party and Syria and I are on our way to the club. Syria looked so damn sexy in her dress. Though we may not be a couple, tonight we'd represent each other like one. I pulled up to the club and passed my keys for valet parking.
Syria and I entered the club. It was packed full of high class women and men who were ready to spend their money to have a good time. We slid our way through the crowd walking towards the VIP. All of a sudden, I heard a high pitched squeal coming from the dance floor. It was Darah and Tahleea screaming my name. Everyone was on the dance floor with their spouses.
As I walked up, Darah was the first to hug me. While hugging Darah, I looked towards Tee. I kind of laughed to myself because Andre was holding her as if he thought that would keep Tee from me. He had this scowl upon his face. I knew he didn't want me there, but he might as well get over himself. Tee and I will always support one another.
Just as Darah let go of me, Tahleea grabbed me up in a tight embrace and then hugged Syria. While she hugged Syria, I took the time to scan Tee from head to toe. She looked absofuckinglutely stunning. That emerald green dress rode her curves like a 65 Chevy Impala. I quickly got out of my thoughts to join in on the brief updates of our little ones.
For the rest of the night, we partied like a bunch of teenagers. Food, shots and dancing were on repeat until we shut the club down. I hadn't had this much fun clubbing since the last time we all went to Hoppers during my wedding weekend. Oh what a time we had.

The day after Tee's birthday party, Syria and I flew back home. We missed our little munchkin and couldn't wait to pick her up. I slept the whole plane ride back home. My bones and energy level were letting me know that I wasn't a youngster anymore. Who told me to schedule an early flight back home the day after the party?
I awake to Syria shaking me. We made our way to get our luggage and on our way to pick up Alivia. When we got to my parents house, my mom was preparing breakfast and asked us to stay a little while longer so my princess could eat. I was too tired to eat, so I played with baby girl until breakfast was done, then I went upstairs to my room and crashed.
A few hours later, my mom came into my room.
"You must be really tired because you've slept most of the day away."
"Yes. I realized my body and mind aren't on the same page. My mind keeps saying we're young, but my body objects."
My mom laughed at me. "Well if you're not already, it's time for you to start taking a multivitamin. You've got a little one with lots of energy."
My mom has jokes. I still have plenty of energy.
"Mom, I have energy. Tahleea kept us on the dance floor all night long. We didn't leave until the club closed."
She laughed, "That's my girl. How is she and the family"?
"Tee and the children are doing well."
Mom looked at me with confusion. "Was her husband not with her?"
"Yeah he was there, but I don't care to know how he's doing."
I was kind of upset that my mom would even ask about him. Getting up from the bed, I let my mom know I was getting ready to take Syria and Alivia home. Before I went downstairs, I sent Tee a text.
Me: We made it home this morning. I was too tired to text you earlier.
Baby Girl: I was so happy to see you and glad to spend time with you guys.
Baby Girl: You're getting old. You need some Geritol.
Me: No, I just needed a nap.
Baby Girl: Ok. If you say so. I love you. We'll talk later.
Me: I love you too, ok.She makes me so happy. Why can't she be mine?
