Chapter 12-The Favour

Jacob: Can I ask you for a favour please? Do you have any plans for the free period?

Ashley:Umm...nope,I'll be free. What is it?

Jacob: Would you mind showing me around the school then?

Ashley:Yeah sure,why not?

Ashley didn't quite understand why she agreed to that without even thinking...but for certain she knew...she was curious of knowing more about this guy...Jacob.

Walking down the hallway, she stopped at the indoor stadium and started observing Jacob from head to toe.

Jacob: Eh,why are you staring like that...As if I'm a spy who's stalking you?

Ashley couldn't stop herself from laughing to that question and she wanted to play along.

Ashley: Dude how could you ask exactly the same thing which was running on my mind?

Jacob: Wha-

Ashley: Just kidding men! Don't be too serious, see your face became pale just by my question...

Jacob left a sigh of relief after knowing that she didn't mean it, else everything would have gone waste if she realized the truth this soon.

Jacob: Oh okay~ Then what's with that glance earlier?

Ashley: Ah that! I was just thinking whether you could join basketball since you have a great height.

Jacob: Wow,can I really join? I love that sport too

Ashley:You love basketball too? Great then, let's ask from the teacher-in-charge tomorrow...

Jacob: What about you,Don't you play any sport?

Ashley: I'd love to,but-

She couldn't finish what she was saying when she ended up falling unconsciously... Jacob managed to get a hold of her before she hurt her head by hitting the floor and hurried to take her into the car which was waiting for him at the gate. Good thing that Ashley's friends left early and since the other students were occupied with their classes he was able to make everything work smoothly.

They drove to Ashley's place where Jacob once went for that function earlier and right by the door he met Mrs.Kim with a mix of emotions on her face and Jacob couldn't exactly say whether she was confused or...happy.

Mrs.Kim: Oh Jacob! What are doing here at this time? You must be at school I suppose...

Jacob was expecting a totally different question from her, because he was holding Ashley who was still unconscious. However,Mrs.Kim was able to read all these and she hurried not to make things more suspicious.

Mrs.Kim:Oh my God! My darling what happened to you? Please wake up! Ashley,my sweetheart...

She knew how to act as a very caring and loving mother for Ashley infront of the whole society and not to make things look suspicious. On the other hand, she was more than joyful since Jacob came to their place just because he cared about Ashley and little did she know that's going on behind their ears?

After informing Mrs.Kim that he couldn't excuse the school and their bags were still at school, Jacob joined to help the maids to take Ashley into her bedroom so he could go there as well. If not for Jacob,Mrs.Kim wouldn't allow someone else to go there. Whereas,Mrs.Kim went to inform the school that she'll be sending her driver to collect both of their bags from the school,and well that wasn't something difficult to do thanks to the power they held.

Ashley's room was no where near what Jacob was expecting... It was so dark inside the room by the colour on the walls and the windows were closed unlike a typical rich girl's room which was mostly glimmering in pink.

Yet Jacob didn't let himself get distracted by things like this. He waited until the maids left the room but instead Mrs.Kim joined inside.

Mrs.Kim: Oh boy,take a seat. I called the doctor and he'll be here in a while. Could you stay till he comes since you were there when she fainted I think it'll be a great help.

Jacob wanted t leave the place as soon as he could after finishing what he came for...but he knew he had to be on the good side of this woman who was asking him to stay now.

Jacob: Yeah sure Mrs.Kim.

Mrs.Kim:Thank you! You might be wondering why this room looks so different from the whole house,well since her early days she used to think different from the other kids. And it was her who wanted to paint her room this colour so we just let her do whatever she wanted.

Jacob wanted to say that she was not that different from others as was trying to say, but he kept silent instead. Eventhough he wanted to believe there was nothing going on inside him, he was starting to feel something unfamiliar towards Ashley...
