I was almost near to passing out after those extremely boring lecturing sessions today.I wish I had a peaceful life as other kids at the college.They never really had to care about the ways of surviving for the next few hours at their own house.After spending such a long day like this,they easily had their meals,then have a body soothing waterbath and finally a good night sleep,which almost came to me as a dream package itself.I knew I'll never be granted such a wish under this roof where this terrible fate of mine had decided to keep me until the day which I believed I'll be freed from this family.It was just this thought which led me to almost 06 years back.
Ms.Kelly returned to the classroom after visiting the principal so I was expecting her to make some announcements to the students.Instead she stood infront of the classroom,looking at me with that pitiful look of hers and informed that I had to leave the school because of some kind of unexpected situation.I was wondering how serious that situation could be,because never in my life my mom has come to pick up me from school in the middle of lessons.She used to drop me by school on her way to work at someone's house,whome I didn't know back then and after my lessons my aunt took me to her place until mom return from work.It was always interesting to play with my cousins out there so it was almost like the second home to me.
To my surprise,it was not mom staying outside the school gate waiting for me as usual.I saw a man in a suite standing beside a car and he waved his hand signalling me to come to him.I was quite not sure about what was going to happen,but since I saw the security guard standing near the gate I went there.I thought he'd drag me into the car as I've seen in those movies,but instead he handover the mobile phone which he was holding and told me that my aunt's waiting for me on the phone.
However,she didn't even say much and the only thing she did was asking me to come home by that car because she was unable to come and pick up me.I felt something strange and it felt like aunt was crying through the words she uttered during the phone call.I wanted to go home soon and check up on my mom,but then again I remembered that she'll be late to arrive from work.
After some time,the surrounding became all familiar,I knew for sure that we were close to my aunt's place,but it seemed quite crowded than usual days.There were even several vehicals parked outside the house and few other men who were dressed in the same way which this person driving me was wearing.I went inside the house quickly and saw a person who was dressed nicely,in a much appealing way than the others,talking with my aunt.However,mom was nowhere to be seen.I went near my aunt to ask from her about mom and the person who was speaking with her gave a gentle smile to me and left the place with all other men who were staying outside. Before even I ask anything from her,aunt looked at me with a very saddened look on her face and whispered those three words which I wish I never heard.
"SHE LEFT US"
At first,I couldn't get what she really meant,though I wanted to ask about it moreover,I thought of asking that when my mom returns.I had to know who was meant by SHE and what LEFT meant,so I was waiting till my mom return from work.My cousins were nowhere to be seen,but I didn't want to question aunt about that,she was already crying in a corner and when time passes by,people start to enter our house and showed their sorrow as if it was a funeral...
FUNERAL....BUT WHO DIED?...HOW CAN A FUNERAL TAKEPLACE HERE?AT THIS HOUSE...
Little by little,it all made sense to me,when all those who talked to aunt came to me with a worried face and told me to Be Strong and started advising me to be courageous infront of the obstacles I had to face in the future...But still,though everything happening made sense to me,I was staying there,standing still,being unable to believe that...
MY MOM...WHO MEANT EVERYTHING TO ME...THE ONLY FAMILY I HAD ON THIS EARTH HAD LEFT ME...LEAVING ME ALONE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE...
