Hi before you start reading I just want to let you know that none of these pictures in my book are mine, I am just using them for the book. Hope you enjoy!😊

"Why did I agree to this?" Eiram thought mournfully, following Leah's car with her own, to the shelter. Figuring it would be best to transport whatever hybrid they got separately.

To be honest, she wasn't sure if she was ready to have someone living with her in her house. She was used to being left alone in her own little world. So what in the world was she doing? Getting a hybrid is just as bad as having an actual person with her, not to mention her social skills were almost non-existent. She had a hard enough time trying to converse with Leah, and she had known her almost all her life! Plus, she was pretty sure that any hybrid she did adopt wouldn't want her to be silent all the time.

"Welp, I can't turn back now." She sighed internally, as she and Leah both pulled into the parking lot of the shelter. When she got out the car she was met with a wild squeal coming from Leah.

"I'm so EXCITED!!!" She squealed once again, jumping up and down and clapping her hands. Eiram rolled her eyes and started walking towards the entrance of the shelter holding the door for her giddy pal.

"Let's get this over with." She grumbled quietly, shuffling slowly behind Leah.

When the two entered in, a lady, who looked to be in her early thirtys, with pink hair and brown eyes, in the front desk looked up quickly, a welcoming smile appeared on her face.

"Welcome to Pets and Pal Shelter, I'm Hana, how may I help you today?" She greeted politely, standing up from her wheeled desk chair.

"Hi," Leah began, just as enthusiastically, "my friend and I here would like to adopt." Hana's chocolate brown eyes shone in happiness,

"Oh that's such good news! Lately, all we've been getting is drop-offs and returns." She said sadly, but then perked back up again. She turned to a filing cabinet and pulled out a few pages of paper, two clipboards, and two pens, then quickly handing them to the two young girls.

"Please fill these sheets out, when your finished give them to me. Once I go over them, I will take you back where our adoptable pets are and you can choose who you would like to take home today." She said, then she walked over to the front desk, and sat down once more. Eiram and Leah both sat down on the bench against the wall, and started to write down their answers.

"So what type of hybrid do you want to get?" Leah whispered over to her friend, who was struggling to answer one of the last questions of the pages. Eiram shrugged, jotting down her answer in the blank.

"I don't know, it's not like I had any time to think about it or somethin'." She growled underneath her breath, giving the blonde a glare. Leah just giggled and grabbed the clipboard from her shorter friends hands when she saw she was finished, quickly rushing over to the desk, handing them to Hana. Not even a few minutes later, Hana walked over to them a large smile still on her face.

"Alright ladies, we are ready, please follow me." She said gesturing with hand for them to walk with her. They walked up to five doors with white signs hanging above them with bold black letters, written on them were: CATS, DOGS, HYBRIDS, REPTILES/FISH, BIRDS.
